I don't think we're in this occupation in order to be classy or to build trust.
We're offering sex for money, we're expected to look nice, to turn them on, do our service.
I'd better be classy in my everyday life and my civvy job 😉.
In escorting we try to stay safe and not get cheated or worse.
When we pay anyone: at the dentist, a shop, etc, they will always count money so we should do the same. The problem is that in the UK only small banknotes are in use so counting becomes a bit awkward...
In the shops they sometimes check banknotes if they are not fake. Maybe we should do the same 😊

Another dirty tactic clients use especially with new escorts is "I'll pay at the end and if you give a good service I'll tip or extend" Thinking you fall for I'll get extra if take money at end.

This scammers usually have booking then say oh your service was shit etc not paying etc.

Don't fall for any of this. No money upfront, no honey first rule of whoring!

Someone who I 'let' pay at the end because of his 'knowness' as a 'gentleman punter', asked to extend partway through saying "I have the cash". At the end he revealed all the cash for the entire booking was in his out of sight car, he did come back with the full amount. He boasted about this display of trust publicly, so I put him right explaining this sort of behaviour is not acceptable, I had no option but to 'trust' him.

People who want to pay 'afterwards' are trying to control you. They want you to be wondering throughout the whole meeting if he's going to pay you the full amount.
This way they want you to try harder to please them.

I see your in London so unfortunately there are so many that it can be very hard to determine the good from the bad. Don't presume that the higher priced agencies will earn you the most money. Whatever they tell you will probably not get many bookings from high priced agencies. Most "high class escorts" need to work for multiple agencies and often also independently. And need an expensive incall in central London. Also for safety reasons I wouldn't work at night. And don't drink or take drugs with clients.

A decent agency should not insist you do OWO. I'm surprised any agency would not allow it because that is likely to limit their clientele and subsequent income.
  I work for a few agencies that have let us choose which services we want offer( not including Bareback sex). Some charge extra for some services. Some are all inclusive. That depends on the agency.

Unfortunately anyone can set up an escort agency and they are not regulated. So the vary wildly in how they treat their workers and how much money they will make you. Some are run by people who genuinely care about your safety and well being and others by money grabbing  pimps who just want to exploit vulnerable and often inexperienced women.

They shouldn't dictate what services you offer.
They shouldn't take more than 30%(maybe more if incall is provided)
They should let you work when you want and not pressure you to work more than you want to.
They shouldn't allow "party bookings"(using drugs like cocaine)
They should allow you to choose not to see a client again if you do not want to( for any reason)

That's a few tips off the top of my head.
