Vivastreet seems to pop up quite high in the Google ranks here considering the nearest people on it are mostly an hour away, but every time I decide to put an ad on it I skim the Spamming section thread and decide I just don't need the bloody hassle .

Plus when I did the tick boxes and things for the ad it came to about forty quid, which I won't pay for a civvy classified site that'll more than likely bugger up my ad/photos/location/website link at least once a month judging by the feedback on here. Backpage at under a fiver I can live with, but I'd definitely be using a different phone/SIM for it.

I've used backpage for 2 years

In certain areas it's cheap for the side bar advertising ie 10 for 3 months in the south west /wales so I keep it up I get work from it more then enough to warrant paying for it

In Birmingham I use it and it cost ?8 for a week and I get several bookings from it
London I get a lot of clients from it it cost ?30 but I don't mind what race somone is

Clients in london have said several timewa that s lot of black escorts  won't see black asian guys so I guess that's why i generally do exceptionally well in those areas

It works for me though it doesnt bring the best clientele
These days (ie 3-4 months ago) its been a hit or miss

I am now based in Belfast and I get about 8 - 14 bookings a week from it some times more, some times less. x

They do that all time. Every time i m working in France they do that with my pics but they take them from Vivastreet

I did try advertising with them a few years back but they don't have a city to locate me with within 2 hours travel time. At the time I pointed this out, they didn't really understand what I was trying to explain, although they did say they'd try and improve their database. I got the impression that they are in the USA so that sort of distance is nothing, yet here in the UK it most definitely is a problem.

Recently they sent me an email telling me they'd created a wonderful advert, that as a previous advertiser I could have a free readvertisement. When I looked they were going to place the ad in a city at least 3 hours away, and just as previously had nothing nearer. I'm not completely out in the sticks and the nearest location they have for anyone in my entire county is always 1 hour + away.

I deleted their ad.

I don't think there is anyway you can say that you don't see xxx without seeming rude / racist to those guys.

Probably totallly irrelevant &  nosey but is it just  black guys you don't want to see because you might know them  or do you not want to see other ethnic minorities

Generally speaking if I speak to somone on the phone I can generally tell if they are a black guy or not
Don't know how but I just can, but then again I saw a black guy who spoke like Prince Charles recently so not always the case 

My friend who is black wont see black guys for the similar reasons you wrote  but will see  other ethnic guys


I find backpage works well in areas where there is a high ethnic cliental base pretty much the same for viva St
In place like heathrow 70 percent of my Clients I would say are black / asian and a lot of them mention that girls won't see them  and its Similar in Reading & Birmingham

It's worked well for me in Birmingham & Leeds as well
( same for viva St)


While it's cheao and cost effective I don't mind paying a few pounds a month to advertise if get one booking a week from it then it's worth it

I can also usually tell a black man on the phone to a white man, but I've had a few try and trick me and thankfully got caught out last minute.
The reason for not seeing black men is because I have a very big family and also a lot of friends and family friends who I can guarantee I would come across if I saw black men.
Other ethnic minorities I did advertise for at the start but my god I had so much grief with one background of men that I cut them off altogether to save the hassle. And still as I only see white men, I've noticed a few will try and trick me and say "I'm a white man can I book you" and then when I call them up as I like to speak to clients before hand, I can always tell from their accent.

May be seen as discrimation but hey, I'm a panicket and I get anxiety quite easily so I would rather blanket ban. I have no issue with any race it's just what I feel comfortable with.

I have noticed that backpage has a very high percentage of ethnic people using it, it didn't really work for me anyway, no business so I scrapped that idea in the end!

Viva street has worked much better for me, so I think I'll stick with that x
