If anyone fancies quick chat to find out more about what we offer sex workers, support, advice, health services, referrals that we know are non-judgemental and safe, and just a general supportive conversation you can call the volunteer coordinator who can either meet you or put you in touch with another worker who may have more experience in the area you wish to access support

Our number is 07583067759 please do not call from withheld number

Our new premises will be open soon just off St Enoch Centre

Sexual health clinic tomorrow (27 April- Thursday) 4-8pm at Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland, Glasgow. Hope to see as great a turn out as last month ☂️ Umbrella Lane volunteers will be there as usual if you fancy a chat about anything work related or just to hear more about the project. Also plenty of safe sex supplies available to take away.

Read more about Umbrella Lane, Glasgow's first service and project led by sex workers themselves : http://www.umbrellalane.co.uk

About the drop-in:
Sexual Health Testing Clinic
Umbrella Lane works in partnership with Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland (THT), to provide a specialist sexual health testing service for people in the sex industry of all genders. The clinic runs every last Thursday of the month (4-8pm) at the THT Offices on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. Sex workers can drop in to get tested by THT volunteers, who have undergone training with Umbrella Lane on how to provide a non-stigmatising, non-judgemental testing service to sex workers. The clinic runs alongside a welfare rights clinic (which you can also access) on the same night, and some other activities going on in the THT centre. This means that sex workers do not need to disclose their involvement in sex work if you do not wish and it wouldn't be assumed that was the clinic you are there to attend. Testing at the clinic is free and confidential, and you do not need to give your real name.

One or two Umbrella Lane volunteers will also be around at THT on these nights in case you would like to speak with a peer, or hear more about the services and community we offer.

I would recommend anybody in Glasgow to go. Getting an appointment at Sandyford is a nightmare.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.
