Not a single phone call today in sheff. Mind you, wasn’t expecting it - it’s raining!

I prefer it when it's chucking it down, people want to stay indoors!!!

Only a half hour appointment for me today as well. A nice regular who only stays for 15 minutes always. Tomorrow is another day!

I am back in feast mode after going through famine. I had two 90 mins and one 2 hour booking today, all new clients, and I am exhausted. But uncomplaining!

I've only realised recently that these 15 mins meets are a goldmine...and no hassle!

I've had my marketing all wrong, I've been quiet because I want them to set out too much outlay

A 1 hour booking with a new guy today and he was really nice.
Very polite and considerate, the perfect client, just wish there were a few more like him around.
Got 2 x 30 mins with regs booked in for tomorrow so it's turned out to be a decent week, well for these times anyway.
Fingers crossed it continues.

I assume you mean neighbours and not punters?  ;D
I don't get why the rain puts them off, it's cooler so more comfortable and it's not like they're going to melt from a bit of rain getting from the car to inside.

Absolutely, I hate it when the sunshine is cracking the flags and I'm sweating my makeup off.

Also, is it just me or do others find it dead as a doornail when you get great weather?

Generally I just switch the phone on silent and head up to the botanical gardens!

I've been in this industry one and off the for best part of 10 years. I've rebranded twice, taken substantial time away but every time I came back, I had no issues building up business again. I've always found this industry to be very profitable.

Last year I left, had to focus on other things, but kept a handful of regulars that I'd see from time to time. I recently came back properly, thinking I'd be hitting the ground running as I have always done, but no!

I still have a few core regulars, who are now my bread and butter. I have had some clients return that I used to see over the years, but the majority of the clients I would see have moved on. No idea if they've found someone else in my absence or just not spending the cash. I have had only a few new clients since I have been back.

In all my years, I have never known it to be this quiet. My rates are slightly lower than they were before I left, because am conscious that money has certainly dried up.

Speaking to peers, they say the same - have to work harder at marketing to gain similar clients to what they would have with minimal marketing.

I guess I naively thought I would be able to just slot back into my groove despite my lengthy absence.

Back to the marketing drawing board!

Yup, I hear you!

Back in the day I wa soo busy.. but that might have been due to location.

I've taken down my website and alternative advertising. The pandemic has changed things but we can all still do well I believe.

I keep changing my main page face pic weekly which helps somewhat.

Dead slow today though. Only saw a quickie.
