I decided to work today when I haven't worked a Monday in years, and now I remember why! Have had a couple of bookings, and have a couple more for later but it's just nowhere near my target. I am considering touring once a month because I need a serious cash boost right now to cover some unexpected costs, but I just took on an incall place so not really sure what to do!

Hopefully the rest of my week picks up or I am going to be in big trouble next week when I have insane bills coming out from all over the place

I think it really depends on which city you are in. In mine, Wed - Fri has always been the busiest for me as those are the days business men come by the truck load. Weekends are a bit hit or miss.

I've been rather lazy on my full force marketing ploy for the last month because I have been so, so busy elsewhere and it has kind of shown in the reduction of bookings, or at least the number of enquiries. So I had better pull my finger out and get back to it (but I am just so exhausted from chasing my kids around all day by the time I am child free - life eh?!).

I'm in the same city as you and my busiest days are Monday and Friday. I did 7 on Monday just passed and always do minimum 6 on a Monday.

Ahh don't get me wrong, if you are reliable then you are guaranteed a good level of income pretty much any week day. But it also depends on your screening and who you are prepared to meet, I am becoming much fussier and refused 2 of my advance bookings during the confirmation call, because I just wasn't feeling it and knew I wouldn't click with them. I was also in a pretty ratty mood on Monday due to lack of sleep and other life delights!

Yes 80s, juggling life and work IS difficult but humans are made of miraculous things; we are capable of more than we give ourselves credit for sometimes! We are all brilliant in our own ways

Nothing wrong with being fussy at all. Sometimes my gut feeling just tells me I shouldn't meet them or I don't like the sound of their voice. I think I'm more lenient because of being in a hotel, I feel much safer than a flat.

Same here. Have done a 90 min so far today, and phone not ringing.
