Had three cancellations today, one from a very polite guy I was really looking forward to seeing saying he couldn't get back from London in time, another guy saying he has a cold and doesn't want me to catch it and the last one saying he had a last minute work meeting.....

not to mention all the time wasters in between!

yes. very stressful!

At least my last client was very nice and it was a long booking so at the end of the day, I did make decent money. Not the sort of money I'd hoped to make but it wasn't so bad.

It was just very stressful to get it!

Not yet the end of the month? I think when touring getting to town after payday makes a huge difference, and I always forget it!

It seems to be some sort of black spot inbetween Easter hols and payday maybe? I'm not too bothered right now as I've got a big deadline to meet in my other job, but I have noticed that a lot of enquiries aren't being converted into bookings - more so than normal. I had to turn down two yesterday as well, which was annoying.

Actually I was pleasantly surprised at Heathrow I always thought it was a bit of a concrete jungle and normally run bath rd but it's boring and rid a case of what kills u first the bus fumes or getting run over by one.
but I asked the concierge a good place to run and he directed me to some lovely semi countryside run not even 10 mins from the Airport
Even saw QPR footballers training ( well it was some rather fit men at QPR training ground

Easter Monday and Tuesday I was flat out and since then it's been so quiet. Thankfully I've managed to get a few longer bookings but there's not the usual flurry of 30 mins clients, waking up every day to no texts except off the 3am TWs and jumping every time the phone rings :(
I considered a tour to make some money but judging by this thread I'm glad I didn't!

Hurry up payday! Is it last Friday of the month or something? I don't even know when civvies get paid anymore :P

Monthly "pay days" are spread  throughout the month but the majority of salaried people get paid 28th of month unless that falls at weekend and they get paid Friday before.   It's not this month until next Tuesday so things should start to pick up then.

Just thought though. Then there is May Day holiday at beginning of May, so don't know what will happen.

In Scotland I think we only get break at end of month but elsewhere it is first and last weekend of month.  :'(

Had a total shit day yesterday, decided to turn my phone off and go for a sleep about 4ish, just felt crap..
Woke up at 9pm, missed quite a few calls and texts, not hundreds, but before I switched it off, my phone'd been DEAD!
Bloody typical..  ::)
Hope today's gonna be better, got one booking so far, my PG isn't doing too great either, despite adding pics at least once a week  :(

yeh my pg has taken a massive drop this month however photo shoot booked in may so hopefully will catch some eager eyes  ;D today was slow turned out one client who was very rude was my only client so packed my bags and headed for home as i reached home got emails wanting to see me bloody typical  :FF however day of tomorrow and friday working before my week off xx
