My phones have rung steadily all day - more from Vivastreet and Backpage than AW - but I am really just not in the mood. I saw one client to cover the cost of tonight's hotel here in Liverpool but I have told myself that I begin properly tomorrow.

I keep telling perfectly nice-sounding guys that I'm all booked up for the night. All I want to do is go sit in a pub and read a book.

So that is what I will do.

I recommend the Weatherspoons across the rd from the station, lovely food ( and no loud music )

You mean that exuberantly-decorated old-fashioned pub on the corner? I love that place! I'd walked past it many times when coming here for gigs and always assumed that it must be dire inside, but was delighted to discover it's as lovely inside as it is out and the staff and clientele are all friendly.

I've never had the food and I didn't realise it was a Weatherspoons.

As it happened, I took a couple of bookings last night. One was a half hour with a guy who sounded absolutely perfect on the phone and was dead easy. The other was an hour with a guy who sounded very sweet. He was a tiny bit odd but it ended up being a great booking and I found him very attractive and sexy. So, I did pretty well for a day that started after 3pm.

Had a 7am this morning that obviously watches too much porn. Hoping for a lunchtime rush then I can have a nap.

Yep. Weatherspoons is my default place to go when touring that and subway for their salad bowls  I always look up a weatherspoons when I'm touring they are one of the few places that as a woman on my own don't mind sitting in on my own and having a drink , i like them because they have a no music policy so you don't have to listen to music you hasted first time round
And the breakfast with the unlimited coffee is a good deal

Well, we're entirely off-topic, here, now. :D

I agree that Weatherspoons are generally good. Some people moan about them killing traditional pubs but one moved into my town centre (a small town) and it has been very popular. The shithole across the street went out of business, as did another shithole a couple hundred metres away. And they both deserved to go out of business. The food isn't great at a Weatherspoons but you know it will be edible and fairly priced. The staff have always been lovely at every Weatherspoons I've visited and they are clean and comfortable.

I didn't realise they have a no-music policy but come to think of it, you're right - they're nice and quiet and pleasant to be in.

Back on topic: my phone isn't off to a busy start today but I have a booking for 12 and I think it will pick up and I'll do OK today.

Everybody knows what I'm going to say, so I'm not going to say it :).

What I will say is spare a thought for the people who are obliged to read everything that's posted whether it's any use to anybody, and maybe also think what those people could have been doing with that time instead of reading the likes of the above.

I am not sure what it's wrong but I haven't had even one single booking this week. It's so quiet in Central London and I don't know why  :FF I start to think it's something wrong with me ::)

Yesterday started out dead for me then when work got out I suddenly had back to back appointments until 9pm, a little too close together for comfort for my tastes but it worked out.

Absolutely knackered today now though... just got to push through for one more day!!

Yesterday was pretty good - barring one no show - but today is not doing much, yet. I was supposed to have an outcall to a nearby hotel this morning. The man booked last night and said that he would text me at 11 or so when he checked in to tell me the room number. I woke up at six as I always do and saw he'd not texted. So I sent a text asking if we were still going to meet. I don't know why I did that as I have a general rule of not really chasing up bookings that haven't confirmed as agreed. Anyway, went to breakfast and came back and saw he'd replied about 45 minutes later saying yes and to please call him when I was at the hotel and he'd meet me in the lobby.

Meanwhile, I realised that I have beginning conjunctivitis and wanted to go to Boots for some eye wash. I hadn't started to get ready, my eye was bugging me, and I don't really have a nice outfit to walk out in - just very casual clothes. I decided it wasn't a good idea to go and apologised, explaining that I assumed he'd changed his mind. Got an angry rant in reply.

He did have bad feedback from someone - a girl he'd called up angry accusing her of stealing his hotel toiletries. Her reply was that she'd used two of the four when she showered and was shocked that he'd called her up to complain. Sounds like an angry nutter so bullet dodged.

I've been getting a lot of emails through but as soon as I mention calling to finalise the booking they go quiet...
