I should have added that I used to charge for petrol. I live in a rural area so there was a fair bit of travel involved.
I was like you, Marie, starting from square 1 as I was was working full time and offered outcalls on evenings and weekends.
When I was more comfortable, I rented a hotel room for a few days to try incalls and it went from there.
Nowadays, I am a touring escort and there aren't many places in the UK I haven't been to.
I've been sticking to my own little corner of England since the summer to cut down on driving.
I think outcalls would be popular here and I might go back to them at some point. If I did, I would limit the radius I travel to, to an hour max and charge a good amount for petrol.
Maybe when I'm closer to retirement  ;D

I'm rural too petrol or miles doesn't reflect time taken to drive, so I base extra travel on the time I know it takes to get there.

Also beware some punters will try to tell you how little time it takes to get there, or only give the nearest town 'I'm just outside' can be another 15 minutes (on top of over 1 hour travel time starts to add up) I need the postcode to make a quote as well as plan the booking.

Many times I've been told the town I know is half an hour away is 'just 15 minutes', or location best part of 2 hours (if you allow 25 minutes for pee or snack (which I have in my bag) stop and or any other delays, parking etc is just 1 hour.

That's what I used to do. Time was the main factor, not mileage. And for that reason I always feel I'm being 'done' with outcalls. If it took me an hour to drive I could be getting my full hourly rate doing incalls.
