Re landlord and rules
« on: 29 November 2021, 02:23:21 pm »
Hi All

I would like some more advice. I used to use hotels (not in London) and outcall. I am now in London and have found via AW a daily rental place in south London (he is now no longer advertising on AW).

I work two days a week and make app 800 - 1000 per week app. I have always seen clients during 1pm - 8pm but now have been extending to later around 3 am. The landlord gets quite jealous I am making money (he charges 80 per day) and says he never makes enough. He also is slightly hyperactive and gets angry or happy quite easily, he talks and talks which is jarring sometimes. His place is a bit of a shit hole but I am OK there because he is always in the house and offers some level of security. Security is a major thing for me I get a bit scared on my own doing this work. He is always chopping and changing the rules according to his mood such as can't stay late, ok you can stay late etc etc.

I wanted to know
1 - where do you think I could work in south London
2 - do u think better the devil you know and just stay put
3 - what do escorts normally work from in south London.

Thank u

Can't recommend anything for south london I'm afraid.

But definitely don't think it's better the devil you know with this one. Sounds like it's a case of 'when' you will run into a problem with him rather than 'if'. And with up and down moodswings he is probably either a drug user or a manic depressive (or both).

I think it is very rarely a good idea to rent from someone who knows what you are doing. Personally I'd rather use a hotel. But I appreciate sometimes we need to just make use of the options that are available at the time. Hope you find somewhere nice to work from where you feel calm and secure.

He sounds awful! I’d be worried he’d put a camera in the room

Basically you're paying 2,400 pounds for a dirty shaggy apartment in a bad neighbourhood and putting up with a crazy guy who gives you a set of rules regarding how you need to run your business and what hours you should work. Personally I think this is madness. For that price you could rent a one bedroom new apartment in central London, make your own rules and not have to deal with this creep.

OP only works 2 days so she isn't paying £2400, but yes she does need to leave that place.

Security is a major thing for me I get a bit scared on my own doing this work.
He knows .......that's why he's being abusive. Yes " abusive". One word " run".

( Walking on egg shells ) and remarks about the amount of money you make and how he never makes enough sounds incredible passive aggressive. He's trying to make you feel as if he's the one doing you a massive favour by charging £80 for a shit hole.

1. I would find another playmate, a girlfriend you can share an apartment with. Most of my experiences have been positive and it makes touring a lot more fun and safe.

All girls value security but your using the word " scared". If this is the case , then maybe look into

.....( High-end massage parlours ) Because your average take home is between £800 - £1000 in two days or agencies that also have their own apartments which they rent to girls. Some of these agencies and parlours will also have their own drivers who also double as security. Very expensive option but as your " scared" then you will be paying for peace of mind.

I really feel that your mental health is more important than working in this type of toxic environment. Remember that your the one with the power not him!

Hi Guys

I want to say because of all your comments I have contacted a local serviced apartment place and booked a viewing. I will try not to be scared and screen more and hopefully from Jan can start working in a serviced apt.

At the end of the day there is an element of risk involved in this work as we all know but what I don't need is a controlling passive aggressive landlord that is making me feel like I owe him more than the basic rent cause of the money I make. FFS.

Thank you again everyone  :)

If you are apprehensive about working alone in an apartment, you could consider hiring someone - a retired security guard would be ideal. I do this sometimes and pay a flat fee of £50 per day. I've probably hired him at least 50 days over the last couple of years and he's only had to physically get rid of a nasty client once. The rest of the time he's quite happy just sitting with his ears open during bookings, playing games on his phone or watching TV. I let him know how long each booking is and he sets a timer - if I'm not out by 10 mins after the timer then he will knock the door (this has never had to happen.)

Or as others suggested, get a 2 bed place and share with another lady. Works out cheaper for both of you.
