Apparently, he stopped at a petrol station on his way to mine, and since the flowers looked rubbish, he decided on a more practical gift. I thought it was hilarious, and it cheered me up much more than a bunch of petrol station flowers in plastic would have done. I still see the client, and sometimes tease him about it. He now has the link to my amazon wish list.

Haha I think he sounds great! Hilarious

I once got brought a can of Dr Pepper because I put it as my favourite drink on the AW interview. The guy thought it was cute that I hadn't put something like champagne etc!
We're women, it's what we do. I just get paid for it.

Aww I think it's sweet the little thoughtful gifts they bring. It's not the expense but the fact that he read your profile and brought irn bru is great! And socks love it.

Taxidermy book!! Why?

I really did not ask why.  I somehow felt it was better not to delve too deep  ;D  On my first outcall, I arrived at a place that was literally full of strange stuffed critters.  It was weird but I felt slightly bemused and for a brief slightly morbid moment, I chuckled to myself imagining me stuffed among them all.  He took my amused smile as a keen interest in taxidermy.  Some quite surreal bookings followed.  He was weird but in a very likable way and during intimate moments start talking about the process of stuffing animals.  Slightly bizarre in the context of the situation lol  I always wondered after he shuffled of this mortal coil if he might have asked to be stuffed too...  ;D

When I was leaving one of my regulars the other day his post had arrived during the booking and he found that he had been sent a duplicate CD by Amazon so he gave it to me to take with me! Who even buys CDs any more?  ;D

Some of our clients are so thoughtful. Sometimes I want to buy them (my weekly/fortnightly regulars) presents just little things we have talked about but never sure if that's creepy for them, or they might think I'm in love with them when it's just I genuinely like them as good people.

They'll most likely appreciate the gesture depending on what it is. I buy some of my regulars sweet things when I've been away somewhere like toffee from Scotland, chocolate from Belgium, turkish delight from Istanbul etc so they can eat the evidence rather than have something lying around that people will put them on the spot by asking where it came from.

One of my regulars bought me a sponge and a candle the other day which would have been odd if they were the poundland variety but it was a sea sponge from Greece and scented candle from Paris so both very nice.

Ok I might start dong that then.  Guess it will be disappointing if I make the effort and I don't see them again! But it's good show appreciation, works both ways.
