Potential new client messages if it's okay to visit tonight. Replied, sure call now. Apparently can't can in a minute than reframes to talking about travel will take him an hour or so. So I ask give me an idea when. Like, I'm not hanging around for 10, 20, 30 minutes however long it is on his phone call. Then the distancing message comes in mentioning between such a time and such a time. Okay, so not in a minute but in a few hours and then within an hour window? By now he is screaming timewaster. So I message back saying sure but I don't hang around waiting on my phone and that time may go on something else. He doesn't reply...
I may be premature with my opinion but if this turns into a firm booking with zero stress and I'm happy to see him as a client again I will be very surprised. Call me cynical but I'm waiting for a big fat nothing after waiting me wait or a message saying he's not finishing his shift until whatever my latest hour is and can he call then followed by the boss wants him to stay behind half an hour can he call later blah blah.
I've felt tired after a stressy day or just lost interest and turned my phone off and went to bed early before only for no calls to come through which proves a point.
Update:
He was unclear whether he wanted to arrive or call between 7.30pm and 8pm. Another new client called during this time and he's booked in for tomorrow. He didn't call but messaged at 8.15pm. By then I had already set my phone to do not disturb and ignored his message. I felt ratty and tired after dealing with idiocy and ego and oxygen thieves online and have a real dislike of vague times and slipping schedules and failures to call when promised.
