Don't you just hate it when new clients seem to go in a bit of a huff about your booking procedure?
Client phones me up at 12 noon for a booking this afternoon, I offer him 4pm (as that's all
I have available) he seems a bit unsure then say's ok 4 is fine.
I tell him great, I will text you around 2pm with my address.
Reason for this is because 4 hours is a long time to a man with a hardon as I'm sure most of you will know and lots of them either find someone else or have a wank so I don't send my address right away to a new client if it's hours in advance like that. I only send the address straight away if it a very short notice booking like an hour ahead or something.
He sounds unsure on the phone about me sending my address at 2pm so he asks for a rough idea. I've absolutely no problem with that so I told him a well known landmark that is literally 10 seconds away from my apartment, told him which part of the city it was and told him the first part of my postcode then proceed to tell him that I will still be in touch around 2pm with all the details.
I get off the phone and he sends a text asking if I can see him any earlier to let him know, this is usually another indicator that he's going to cancel or not show. I tell him that I can't do any earlier and he agrees that 4pm is fine.
Fast forward to 2pm, I sent him a polite text just to make sure we were ok still for 4pm (after him confirming, my address would follow) but I got a barking text back saying "just send address please".
Erm, no. No thank you!
I cancelled!
Just wasn't getting a good vibe from him and his tone seemed off and he seemed utterly obsessed with my address.
This happens occasionally, why is it these ones seem so obsessed with the address? How do they think our other clients get here? Do they think our other clients are psychic? I stuck to my end of the deal, I text him when I said I would. I was just checking everything was ok before sending my address out to a stranger who's maybe found someone else or changed his mind, no big deal? Right?
It's like the ones who phone up asking for your address and postcode before they have even asked you if your available. This client didn't do that, I'm just saying.
If it's a case of trying to find his bearings or google street view the apartment then they still have a couple of hours to do so. Where's all the mad rush?
He probably thinks I'm nuts for cancelling but I don't care, if someone gives me a bad vibe then the deal is off. That's the sensible option same as they wouldn't hesitate to cancel us or not show up if something about us put them off!
So annoying and now it's too late for me to organise a booking with someone else at that time
Ok I've got that out of my system
