I know we all regularly have to deal with timewasters, but today I need a rant!

I often don't work on a Saturday unless I have an advanced booking, and today was planning to do some paperwork and sort some stuff out in the house. But late morning got a call, all sounded OK, and he booked 2-4pm. Later he explained that he needed to do a few things and so might be late. I asked for an ETA and he eventually said 4.30. At about 2.45 he said 4, but then changed it back to 4.30. Then he says he's still stuck somewhere, that he's trying to be quick, when I can see him up to etc. I said 7, or 7.30 at a push. He won't commit, so I say if he can't make it by 6 we should cancel. I finally give him a 6.25 ultimatum, and of course, no further contact after about 5.30.

So in terms of getting ready, hair, make-up, his very specific clothing requests etc. I've effectively wasted 12-6.30pm on him.

F'ing fuming!
