Cassie, it is so sad to hear this :-(
I hope you are doing well and the only thought that comes to my mind is that maybe it would help a little bit thinking of what you had with your mum...In those situations, I try to think of what I had and be grateful for that...I lost my granny few years ago and I am still thinking of her quite often, she was very loveable, open-minded and somehow funny so I think I must have been very lucky to have granny like her.
Many kisses,
L.

Thank you again, it helps to hear from you all.

Sometimes it is very hard to carry on with my life, but luckily there are times when practicalities take over and chatting and the forum helps me take my mind of feeling sad.

Thinking of you Cassie , really sorry to hear of your loss.  Ive lost both of my parents within the last five years, and the advice I would give is just take one day at a time.  Your mum is still in your heart and your memories, and that will never change.

Hugs

You are right Penny, I have realised that there is no point in pushing myself, eventhough there seems to be so much still to sort out, if I'm having a 'numb' unproductive day I just let it happen and get back to it when I feel able to.

What has shocked and dismayed me is that I always believed that I would somehow feel my mum's presence around me after she died, but I don't, she is completely gone, only alive in my memories.

But I am blessed to be surrounded by so many great people, friends at home, my mum's friends in Scotland you guys on here. I can feel the love and genuine care that you are showing me and it helps so much.

Thanks. xx

Wow...thats deep.

But just remember, material things can be lost. They dont last forever. But memory is one thing that will always remain. And with those you can learn, press on, and derive strength and courage.

:'(  Ugh, I start getting teary when I talk about these things, but I love to offer uplifting slogans and words of encouragement!
