I know...I’m too soft with them.
I usually say to clients, ‘can I get you a drink while you shower’ most of them are very well behaved and go and shower. What do you say to the ones that won’t.
Do you offer a limited service if they refuse to shower?
I was gonna start a thread on this. I’m having the same issue.
I actually told a guy to leave a couple of weeks ago because of it.
He phoned me just as he got off a helicopter from the North Sea after being on an oil rig to see if he could book me when he got back to Glasgow but wasn’t sure exactly of the time so I said it’s best he contacts me when he’s here and we can take it from there.
So he then sat on the train for over 3 hours.
Then he took a wander around Glasgow for about an hour waiting for me and then came to my place.
He said he wanted OWO and I asked him to shower but he refused?
I said for OWO it’s mandatory that you shower on arrival and tbh even if they don’t want OWO, I still want them to be fresh for me.
He said I had a shower before I left and I explained that isn’t good enough given that was hours and hours ago.
He then said fine I won’t bother with OWO but at this point I said your acting like I’m being unreasonable here?
I said I would prefer you were actually fresh for me to do my job properly and why would you deprive yourself of a good service for the sake of being fresh for me? I charge £100 for a half hour so why would you waste all that money?
He said fine I will shower if you get in the shower with me? I said I don’t offer shared shower and the reason you had to take a wander round Glasgow is because I was in the shower and preparing for you coming, I’m literally just out the shower.
He also stunk of cigarette smoke and I’m a none smoker so even his breath was rank.
I told him at this point that I wanted him to leave cause it’s bloody awkward having a stand off with me about this and now we’re totally off on the wrong foot so he left resulting in me losing the booking.
Would this be worthy of a warning in the timewaster section?
But other than him, I do have the odd client that refuses shower and has a bit of a stand off with me but not to that extent.
I find it really disrespectful and rude. I actually had one a couple of days ago who turned out to be fine try refuse a shower at the start but he asked if he could use the toilet for a pee? I said yes you can use the toilet when your in there showering anyway assuming you’d like OWO? He said yes I do want OWO but I had a shower earlier? I said your just after telling me you need a pee and want OWO? So off he went and was ok after it.
Urgh! Grown men arguing over having to wash is ridiculous and they’re always the first ones to complain on reviews that you weren’t as enthusiastic as you could of been.
