Working in a flat with other girls

Is this not illegal?

I saw an advert in another section on SAAFE where girls are offering a place to work from but I thought this constituted a brothel.

Whilst I like the idea of working with others on tour I don't want to get arrested. Do the police just ignore these places? They have a website so it's not a secret.

Yes, it is illegal. In most of England, brothels are largely ignored/tolerated by the police. Often, massage parlours are seen as a safe, manageable alternative to street prostitution. They will, however, get involved if there's a sniff of other trouble - drugs, trafficking, underage sex. And agendas can change - the Scottish police want to get rid of brothels and property developers may want to "clean up" an area, which is what I think was behind some Soho raids a few years ago.

Two or three independents in a flat are much less likely to attract negative attention than a massage parlour with a neon sign out front but if someone gets the hump then the law can be used against you.

Many women find that the benefits of safety greatly outweigh the rather negligible legal risks.

It's also worth pointing out that only managing or assisting in the management of a brothel is illegal, not working in one. If you were going to let a room from somebody here where others were working then it would be them committing an offence, not you. The main problem you'd have in the event anybody took an interest is losing a place to work.

How likely that is to happen can be down to location (as mentioned above) and also how much you/the other people there annoy the neighbours and the local competition, which isn't something you can really control if the others are determined not to be quiet or discreet, or give out the full address to everybody who asks, and so on.

Whilst it is not us who can be nicked it's still unpleasant to be caught up in the middle of a raid. Am now negotiating with the landladies of flats for a deal for both rooms. Don't really want anybody with me albeit a few I've worked with are nice.

In Borehamwood the police were so anxious for info on the owner that they temporarily seized my phones. Mind she the woman used her own housing association place and it was a cul de sac lol with three girls plus her.

I don't like my clients hearing other girls. But even the considerate ones can't help noise especially when letting their own clients in.

Also a pain when only one bathroom. Two girl flats should have two bathrooms IMO. One of my punters couldn't get in it the other day and had to piss in the kitchen sink

Or the ones who chat loud constantly on their phone!!

And the ones who give address to all and sundry.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Oh, Borehamwood is fairly close to me!  What happened there? How comes police seized your phones?

It's the first thing they do when they investigate anything.

I know people who have lost phones and cameras to the police for months.
