Working from shared flat while my flatmate is at work?
« on: 01 March 2015, 08:31:38 pm »
I'm in some financial difficulty at the moment due to have to take time off from my normal job and I also wasn't able to escort so I am basically skint until my next payday which is the end of March.

I used to live alone in my 2 bed rented flat and worked from the empty room. I got a flatmate in early December and obviously didn't tell her that I had previously worked as an escort/used her room for it. I have done a few outcalls since but very few as due to working fulltime I don't really have time.

I am considering escorting from my room while my flatmate is out at work, obviously this could go wrong if she comes home early during a booking. But right now I don't think I have any other choice. I have considered doing incalls from a hotel but I don't even have the money for a room.

So does anyone have any advice or has worked from a shared house/flat before?

It isn't completely clear from your post, but if you were thinking of doing this without telling your flatmate I would seriously reconsider - everybody has the right to feel safe and secure in their home if nowhere else and whilst in a flatshare situation there are always going to be people around now and again that one flatmate doesn't know, the difference here is that you don't know them either.

Can you lock the door to your flatmates room from the outside, so that punters can't access it? What about the bathroom and shower - will they be using the same one as your flatmate uses and keeps her possessions in? If she did come home mid-booking, have you thought about what you could say that won't scare or upset her even more?

You could probably give it a go and nothing would go wrong, but the consequences if it did could be a real disaster even leaving other peoples feelings out of it - is there maybe somebody with a room in Seeking/Offering that could help? Even a couple of daily/hourly rentals should give you a bit of elbow room and maybe allow for a hotel day :).

Yea I suppose since I've been working as an escort I've forgotten how weird it would be for her to know that random men have been in the flat while shes been out. Whereas with escorting we let random guys into our personal space and after a while it feels normal but obviously its not. If I wasn't an escort and had a flatmate who was having clients in her room while I was out then yes I would probably feel uneasy so its not fair for me to expect her to deal with it if she did somehow find out even if I don't go ahead with it.

Unfortunately the bedroom doors on the flat don't have locks so apart from me closing the door and telling them that we won't be using that room I couldn't do much to ensure her stuff all stays safe which isn't fair on her. Well if the client was say under 30 I could just blag it and act like they were a friend/boyfriend/f*** buddy but if its some 50 year old then well even imaging the situation is making me feel awkward!

Well if I ended up going through with it (most likely not now I've thought about the long term consequences/flatmates feelings) if she found out then she could easily dob me in to our estate agents or move out which would cause more financial problems. I'm going to try redo my AW profile and get on a cam a bit more as even though the money doesn't come straight into my bank it will help in a few weeks. I will have a look at the Seeking/Offering forums but I am down to my last ?30 so am just praying for some outcalls in the next 2 weeks.

Probably best you don't do it without her knowledge could cause arguments or make her feel uneasy.

Have you thought about sharing an incall place with another girl somewhere you can go to do your bookings and come back home etc? I'm in a similar position to you but I live with parents so I can't do incalls and I really want to.

And outcalls aren't always sought for so its especially hard! I've thought about trying one of those serviced apartments in Birmingham but haven't yet.

Yeah probably best to have a look through the seeking/offering section see if anyone is renting a room or something. X

In my opinion you should tell your flat mate that you want to escort and see what she says.
If she wants to move out, it means you can start doing in calls again and make money :)
