Working after a broken leg!
« on: 28 November 2018, 08:47:33 am »
Hi Ladies
Advice needed on how I get back to work. I fractured my lower leg and ankle at the start of October.
I'm still in a cast at the moment but will hopefully be weight bearing by the start of January.
I've given myself until March to work on my physio and leg strength.

My real problem is going to be shoes. I'm not going to be able to wear heels for a long time.
What can I put on my feet to look attractive and will the no heels problem be a major issue do you think?

I know I'm planning far ahead but I need to focus on when I can get back to work before I go slightly mad!!
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Just read my post back and hope it doesn't come across as a stupid question.
This injury has really made me realise how much I've taken for granted whilst working.

I need to try and think of a solution to the shoe problem. I will only do incalls so walking distances won't be a problem.

Also on a side note, ladies please save some earnings for the unexpected. Five months off work when not planned has made life v difficult.
But I'm determined to stay positive and look for solutions  :)

I’m quite tall, I wear heels when I answer the door but a lot of clients either want me to take them off cause I’m so tall or they just aren’t bothered about the shoes.

Only the odd few ask me to keep them on!

I also have a couple of really tall clients who I enjoy seeing and I don’t wear my shoes cause I like being quite a bit smaller than them ;D and they’re not fussed!

So my point is, I doubt most of them will be that bothered. You could always briefly explain as they come in that you normally wear them and why you’re not, light conversation/breaking the ice a bit I suppose

I would say on your profile that you can't wear heels for a bit. How about some glamorous slippers with a little wedge and that fluffy maribou feather?! Or some lowish evening/cocktail sandals etc.? There are some pretty shoes around that only have an inch or two of heel, or even flatter, like ballerina pumps.

I'd focus on fancy stockings to distract! Rarely do I find a client fussed on shoes. Mine usually come off straight away although i often offer to keep them on almost all want them off. Maybe some cute pointy flats or with a tiny heel?

I don’t wear any shoes because I hate heels and it’s a pain taking the off. I wear high heeled boots sometimes. I used to wear slippers when I worked elsewhere and nobody said anything ever.

Unless your client is a shoe fetishist he is not going to care. Just remove any mention of heels or foot fetish from your adverts.

I would make a feature of it. A really good professional pedicure, a couple of gorgeous toe rings, and one of those jingly Indian silver anklets.

i have broke both my legs i couldn't walk for 9 months ..............over 10 years ago i still find it hard to wear heels and always take them off when starting a service as scared of going over on them ...also i  still find it hard to squat after breaking my legs and can only go so far down so cant do that anymore on top of a guy  also i am tallish and tend to be taller then them so just kick them off and say  this is a better match kind of thing no one ever says keep them on ..........

good luck and a speedy recovery ...I also cant run anymore :(  but for work you will be fine.
