Not quite the same, in America first time you get arrested for hooking it's 2 days in jail, second time it's 2 days in jail plus one week community service (they basically have you cleaning the subway), third time you get arrested for prostitution it's one month cleaning the subway and so on consecutely. In Qatar Prostitution is illegal and a carries severe punishment of several years in prison, after they deport you. The stakes are much higher in the UAE.
But in America if you are detained you 100% will get PTSD.
They put you in loud room, don't let you use bathroom, hygiene products, medicine, they don't let you sleep.
To get detained you don't need to be proven to be escort or stripper, or sugar baby. If they think this, assume this, they will detain you & won't let you to the country & will ban you to enter there for next 10 years.
And you haven't even entered the country.
If you get to the country, cops rape escorts all the time. If you got caught as an escort, you will be put on sexual offender list. This means whenever you move, you are legally obliged to tell your neighbours you are sex offender. Imagine how you are going to explain this if you are not outed as escort. People will think you are r*pist.
All these stories of rescued immigrant trafficked woman in USA is a blef , what they do in truth, they take their money and deport them.
So nothing very massive difference if you think in western cultures laws are more civilised.
