Desperate need for advice on incall space.
« on: 13 January 2014, 07:15:25 am »
Okay, this is a tiny bit longwinded, I'll try to keep it brief.

For the last couple of years, I had a fantastic incall space.  I was renting by the booking from a friend, who also doubled as security if I needed it, and took 10%.  It was a perfect arrangement, and it worked marvellously.

He moved out of the area about 9 months ago, so now I have no incall space.  I could work from home, but before I can do that I have to get a large amount on structural and interior work done, which I'm only just starting at the moment.  So my own home isn't fit to bring clients to.

I don't drive, and in my area outcalls aren't really in high demand, I get maybe one request a month for a one hour outcall.  So outcall only is pretty much out of the question.

There's also only one hotel I can get to, but it's ?75 a night (which isn't BAD, but out of my price range by about ?75 at the moment) and it's also a fairly quiet, local hotel.  Not so much discretion for clients, and much more risk of being asked to leave, this happened to someone I know at the same hotel.

So basically, just how boned am I for getting back into work anytime soon?  I've just had bailiffs knocking on my door about some debt I thought was being paid, and I need to get back to work asap.  I'm going stir crazy under red letters while my savings account empties itself.

I'm near Cambridge, but not near enough to Cambridge that travelling there to work out of a hotel is cost effective at all.  I've been out of work for 9 months, most of my client base has moved on elsewhere, so I have to build everything back up.

Basically, help!  What can I do here.

Perhaps a massage parlour or an agency is the way to go until you can save up some money?

No parlour around here, and no agency worth their salt.  I'm a BBW, 90% of agencies won't take me on, the 10% aren't in my area.

What about if you just say to your clients, your house is being done up so pardon the mess........and get a few in-calls under your belt.

I would, but the problems are structural mostly.  I have cracks in the walls and ceilings that look incredibly ominous, I have a damp problem in 3 out of 4 rooms in the house, and my bedroom walls are vibrant orange peeling paint.  Needless to say that this is a rented property, and I'm hounding my landlord about the things that are their responsibility.  But with the damp, it's a health risk for clients, no way I could conscientiously let them in the door.

Sounds like it's a matter of financial survival, so maybe you need to worry a bit less about the clients' health. They're in and out within the hour, so are not likely to contract a lethal "mould and mildew lung". You're still alive, and you live there.....

Failing that, how about becoming an awayday girl - organise yourself a day in a parlour that specialises in BBWs, get on a coach or train to London, and do a 12 hour shift.

Are you anywhere near London? Or a bigger/busier part of the country than you actually live in where you could book a t hotel one day a week or something and just spend that day working your arse off which will still make you a half decent wage, better than anyone in a normal job xx

Also have no place to accommodate in calls but thing is that I offer FBSM with HE so def cannot work in a regular parlour, and the oriental massage parlours who WILL take on people doing FBSM and not full service are mainly only for oriental girls!!  So am looking into trying to get say 3 (at least) bookings for one day so that I can justify a hotel (cheapo Travelodge 40 quid lateroom deal) for the day.  It is a bit of a drama.  Good luck!x

Do you think that maybe you could just paint the bedroom and bathroom yourself. 5 litres of economy paint cost ?12. My incall flat, was a right mess before I moved in. It took me 2 weeks to paint ceilings, bedroom bathroom and hallway.   I just painted the places the clients needed to use. I had a similar problem to you.......
I had cracked walls, flaking ceilings mildrew/damp. I scraped off the places where it was flaking, then just painted  over it myself.  At least then you could earn your money and maybe even move somewhere else more suitable when you have saved enough........its not ideal but sometimes you just got to get the ball rolling yourself, otherwise things wont change.

Goodluck x

Yes I'd go with the above. I have had numerous problems finding incall places to work from but I always have just in the nick of time. If I hadn't then I would have just had to work from home. My house is very old, draughty, pretty dilapidated! But I would just fix it up the best I can and get working. Nothing else to do for it until you get some money behind you x

Thankyou for the advice, some great suggestions here that I can start to work with.  Like my grandmother says, I was in a tizzy and I couldn't see woods for trees.  A little outside advice helps so much.
