My friend who is an escort too, has been found out by her two neighbours who were supposed to be her friends. Anyway, they’ve got quite nasty with her and are telling people, so she shut her profile down. It’s now come to her attention that they’ve contacted the police. What outcomes could happen? Would she get in trouble as it’s rented property?

If she's working as an independent escort police can't and won't do anything. She's not breaking any laws. When I had an argument with my ex he called police on me saying I am whore. They stayed calm and said: so what? it's not illegal. They are not interested in bullying independents.

Personally I wouldn't close my account down. Just remove any face pics and identifying photos with tattoos etc

I’m driving to hers tomorrow and we are going to the police to explain everything rather than wait for them to knock on. Her anxiety is through the roof and she’s scared of them - they’ve been round to shout at her and are sending vile messages to her and her partner. She’s looking for other properties now so hopefully she can move soon!

No, I can't imagine the police would be interested in your friend, but they might well be interested in these messages. Make sure she keeps everything she's sent and if she can remember to, note down anything and everything that's been said and when, especially if it's remotely threatening.

She'll be in breach of her lease, but she's not breaking any laws and these neighbours threatening and blackmailing a lone woman is something the police ought to be keen to discuss with them.

Only problem i see here is if the neighbours contact her landlord. do keep in mind that if she admitted to it on facebook messger that screenshot will be sent to the landlord.

if the neighbours want you out they can become quite nasty stopping clients going in doing damage to there cars while they are in having there service i had this in the past done to me. Just be aware neighbours can go to extremes and if you do not own the property you are breaking the lease.

Probably best if you think about moving as you're neighbours now have it in for you.

I can understand it would be nearly impossible to work from her flat. If anyone knows they will watch her home closely and every visit would bring another gossip. It's really upsetting how another people look at us. Like as we are something less then anyone else

Yes I’ve told her to not befriend the neighbours - sadly she did and the three became very close, and even went to be Caribbean a few weeks ago together! Not only has she lost her home, her income for the time being, but also her close ‘friends’. Not a good time for her xxx
