As if I don’t have enough time wasters to deal with.

The sport has published my number all over Glasgow and Manchester.

No description of me or age.

The only calls I want are the video call enquires! How the fuck dare they?
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Mine too Lottie - I posted about it here and another lady PMd me and said she's had it too. My phone is off so I'm not actually having to speak to them but the texts alone are horrific amd they have no information about me or my location either. One of mine mentioned the Sunday Sport but I daresay it could be both.

Have you actually seen it? I couldn't find anything online, not even a contact email.

Not seen it. Have kept my Vivastreet number on because advertising Video calls on there. So while O spend all day watching Sky I pause when the phone rings. I do get the odd video call in amongst the time wasters but even more time wasters now. Been told by a few guys they’ve  seen it in Glasgow and another two guys in Manchester.

Sorry for my ignorance but how are they getting phone numbers?

Well mine is on virtually all my ads and prominently displayed on my website which is where I would assume they've got it since I don't use Vivastreet and it isn't showing on AW at the moment.

I don't know how far ahead newspaper ads are set up; for the local paper years ago you used to have to call by Thursday afternoon for your ad to be in the Saturday paper but I don't know if this is the same and that was over fifteen years ago. I have no idea why they haven't bothered with names or locations either but I suppose punters don't really complain about fake ads?

It’s happened to me as well! I wondered where new clients were getting my number! Is this even legal?

If your number is publicly available and they haven't lifted copyrighted text or photographs, then yes. Twattish, but legal.

Do you mean they're publishing them as sort of ads? Not - 'Watch out, Typhoid Tessa will shag you for 200 quid during lockdown!' - type salacious articles?

It’s actually worked out all right for me. Have managed to persuade many of the guys to pay me for a video call.

Am guessing my ad must be global. Getting calls from all over the UK and tons from an area which would happens to be a place I will hit once lockdown is lifted. So I’ve maybe got some future potential clients after referring them to my online ads.

I still won’t pay for an ad there though lol.

I would imagine you need to check where they have seen this i.e. what date and what page etc. and then call up the editorial team.  If you look online on google search their number will no doubt come up.

Ladies, thank you for your replies which I’ve only just been notified of ,so I got them all in one go ! Honestly I don’t know how this can happen. And it’s actually the Midweek Sport my number was in. I ended up buying that particular copy of the paper online, so that I could find where I was. It was in the classified section. No photos thank God, just a very brief description of me, my location and my phone number. I’ve been inundated with messages and calls from every idiot imaginable and I really hope my number won’t be in there again. I know We’re all used  to idiots ,but it’s reached a new level lol. I have emailed the editors and told them I do not want to be in their paper and if it happens again I will be taking matters further.

Someone just made an enquiry claiming they have gotten my number from the Sport, they were I think a timewaster because they quoted the location in the ad without actually being able to provide something which most people would if in the area. Received another couple this afternoon mentioning the Sport, one helpfully read out some of the wording - details (age, size) are a quite a few years out of date.

I have used the contact form on the Sport website to find out what they have printed and why without my permission, also pointed out I am not working in-person only providing online services.
