Everyone I speak to says the same thing - it's gone quiet and bookings aren't anywhere near as many as it used to be.

In all my years in this industry, I have never struggled, thankfully. Even when I left, came back, left, came back, I always managed to pick it back up to a good place.

In this last month, even I have been quiet to the point I checked my website contact form was still working 😅 I don't really use AW, and tbh, don't have good words to say about the kind of clients I get off there (most of them, anyway).

I have always been very optimistic about work, that the money always comes. But September? Made me want to claw my own eyes out. 2 star clients the whole way.

I have some very good regs but even those regs have become less frequent than they were. Weekly went down to twice weekly, twice weekly went to monthly, and I can probably count on one hand the clients that I see as reliable clients who I know will book when they usually book.

It's the sign of the times. There's always work but we certainly have to work more for less money and deal with people we wouldn't normally.

It's shit. But another reason why it's important to have a few income streams, whether that's other avenues in this industry, or avenues outwith.

I had 2 bookings Wednesday, 10 yesterday and 4 today. I’m in Glasgow.
I’ve noticed a big increase in no shows and cancellations. I’m thankful I’m still doing ok.

I've had guys emailing asking for a specific day and time, when I say yes I can do that give me a call to arrange... nothing.
Or because I ask for a phone call to secure a booking " Oh my wife is home so I cant call. Odd that he doesn't call at any point throughout the day so not sure when he was thinking he could get out to visit me as even a phone call seems impossible ...
They don't want to spend money on a booking they just want the attention and maybe wank over what might have been, weidos.

Absolutely horrific in Central London. Literally the worst week ever, I couldn't believe it. I think the rail strikes and the tube strikes (even though called off last minute) probably played a part but still unbelievably dead. Even regulars are spacing out bookings more and more. I'm just hoping it picks up again soon

we must all rememember it's not us, i'm sure we are all doing our best

I wish we could do more about timewasters , get them back in some way so they know how it feels to have their time wasted.

I suppose it's mainly the economy?

There were strikes before but it wasn't as bad as this week. I don't know what's going on this week. The phone is dead, last 2 days not even the usual timewasters asking for pictures. What I am used to is waking up to a lot of messages and it usually takes me time going through them, but last few days I've been getting only 2-4 messages while I don't answer the phone. I've been in this business on and off since few years now and every time I came back, there was always money to be made, even during lockdown. It got completely quite this week as if all clients left the city. I don't know what's going on, I even got to the point when I keep checking if my adds are still on

Hopefully the majority of us realise that it's not us.
I take comfort in the great feedback ( verbally in person) from the few genuine guys and regs that I see that it's not me but I think it's the sheer volume of nasty timewasters now that make it quite soul destroying.
As you say, it would be so satisfying to get them back in some way but I find that posting anything on your profile about their behaviour just encourages them sadly.

Nothing makes them run away faster than the word “deposit”.

It definitely isn't the way it used to be and in my view, hasn't for the last few years. So many more women doing this job nowadays. I gave up my incall place and am now thinking about touring for the first time, but even then I don't think I'll be busy. I've ticked over with regulars but even they aren't enough to pay for a place to work from in my area anymore.

Regards as to the getting them back, some of us do.  ;D

I am only part time along side a job, I only see 2-3 a week, fortunately I can change my work hours with notice.

I use to space out meets, but that isn’t as easy now and I have had to see 3 in a day, which is not ideal.

Yes I generally like to limit footfall too but with the way things are now I'm loath to turn work down when I've hit my usual limit as you never know when the next booking will be.  It's not unusual now to go days without seeing anyone.

It's shaping up to be a good week here but my God I am working for every bloody penny. Even the stupid text exchanges just to arrange a completely unremarkable half hour incall are driving me nuts; I don't think I've dealt with a single person who's read my ad properly in about a week.

Thankfully if I can get another decent day in tomorrow I can sack it early on Friday and do something else but I should be trying to save up for Christmas really. I'm keeping myself going by mentally adding another day off every three bookings or so :D
