Terrible today. I booked a day room and had two bookings booked. 1 no showed and the other was a 2 hour booking from a regular. Made profit but I didn’t want to hang around to stay any longer as my phone was dead. Area was Earls Court. I was quite shocked as I lived there for two years but I noticed I wasn’t getting a lot of work towards the end of it. Moved to outskirts of north London and I’m hitting target every day. That’s the last time I will try and work in central London again.

And coincidentally, that's a perfect description of how I feel about travelling by car :).

Meanwhile back in London, the numpties are out in force this afternoon. I don't work Mondays though, so obviously I'm not hearing from the ones who actually bothered to read my site today ;D

I always take bookings in advance and am usually booked up for the next 2 weeks at a time. Having escorted for 5 years now I do find I get less bookings during the summer holidays.

I'm a grateful driver but using the train is a huge relief, I've driven to the city I visited last night.

Difference in energy levels is noticeable, also ecomonical when parking is taken into account.

At the large city station now so far only 2 trains announced cancelled due to short staff.

I'm not really working much this week, but I've hardly had any enquiries, which is a bit concerning.

The train strike days are Thursday 20th, Saturday 22nd and Saturday 29th, so mostly affecting those who work weekends. This is an overtime ban as Missy said, so bar a few cancellations (which are likely to be mostly on the very first and last services) it won't have a huge effect :)

London Tube workers will strike for six days in a row over pensions, job cuts and working conditions.
Underground workers will walk out from Sunday 23 July to Friday 28 July, the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) has announced.
