I found March a slow month in general (slower than February that is for sure), I'm also experiencing "rollercoaster weeks", one week is very slow other week is very busy. Transport strikes have really affected me. I'm quite concerned with all these banks in US and Europe going bust in the last weeks (credit Suisse et al) and all the news doom and gloom regarding recession. I'm paying a lot of attention to the markets and the inflation, it has me concerned.
Mornings were made for sleeping, wild sex and bacon.

I can’t do civvy work anymore, I have had it at least I can block people in this industry. But is slow at the minute representative as I it seems like doing it full time doesn’t even get you a mediocre salary these days?

I need hope!

I'm on tour in Oxford atm and while I've had a couple of timewasters and no shows I've refilled those slots quickly,  it's been really busy and is looking like one of the best tours I've done

I was also on tour in Oxford a couple days ago and it was so quiet for me that I decided to leave early, literally my worst ever tour, just full of timewasters and very very few genuine enquiries. I barely managed to cover my accommodation costs. I won't be back in Oxford for sure  :( :(

Yes, awful for me, too. March used to be one of my best months.

it's been my best month in about 6 months (London). Pretty much all Americans though.

March was my worst month so far this year, only made just over half of what I made last March and it was my 3rd best month of the year in 2022.
I think it's just the way things are at the minute no matter where we are in the country.
Hopefully with better weather on the way and the predicted fall in utility costs from July things will improve.
Fingers crossed!!

Only a few banks have gone bust.  There is no recession so no idea why people think there is.

The reasons it is unstable is post pandemic plus Brexit plus currently the cost of living crisis.

Sky News mentioned the economy is flatlining a good month ago. No recession after all.

The building trade is still very busy.  I was told over 20 years ago in a London job one time that the signs of a real recession is when the builders have way less work. This is not happening in any shape or form.

Hope this reassures people.

My clients working in finance in the city of London seem to have a different opinion, this said there's a lot of money in London, even if the world goes bust London is still one of the most important international financial hubs, the only problem is tons of competition. Covid, Brexit, biggest inflation in 40 yrs, Ukraine war, energy bills going up, a series of important banks going bust this month etc... all those factors are causing a recession, of course we will have Riki Sunak stating it's all good and recession is a non thing, but then him and his wife are millionaires so he's the last person to feel the pain. It's clearly a non thing for him but not for the rest of us "commoners". As per the building trade I remember all the pandemic while we were on lockdown and panicking about our futures builders were very busy (at least inLondon), during lockdown I would get in the tube and all I saw was builders and similar trades getting back home. Unfortunately the sex industry is one very sensitive to recessions. I'm not painting a picture of doom and gloom, some of us will navigate this better than other depending on a variety of factors like geographical location, business model, having been in the indutrsy for a long time and developed a regular clientele etc... etc...

Can we stay on topic, please? Speculation from people who can't even get the PM's name right is less than helpful, if nothing else. And anybody who is 'reassured' by reading conjecture by anonymous randoms on the internet needs their head examined.

I always wonder why easter holidays are usually dead for tours but busy in summer holidays. Strange as surely not loads of people go away at easter half term. Phone is usually dead in the easter holiday period no matter what area i have found.

Easter is a big holiday getaway, especially after the weather we've had recently! The NHS says that 6.5 million people will travel this Easter, and some newspapers say 9 million. All those bank holidays make it more appealing.

Yeah, Easter is always crap in my experience (and March had always been my worst month since time immemorial) and lots of people go away or get roped into childcare while they're off. I don't know when half term is but I'd guess at just after the coronation if that isn't too soon? I think they fall six weeks into the school term.

I'm supposed to be sorting out the new photos I've been promising for months, writing my blog and getting my accounts sorted but I'm sitting on the couch eating Welsh cakes, so not a terribly constructive use of my day ;D
