Must be misunderstanding about dinner dates. I was speaking  about normal booking. What you say about effort is true.

No I didn't misunderstand anything. The part about dinner dates was addressed to another poster, that's all :).

£400-£800 per week after rent. Wow Thts good for London.
Please
Don’t mix business with pleasure with your landlord—such arrangements or suggestions never end well.

If that is after paying your taxes then you are doing alright.

Tickle, I realise you're likely to have personal commitments and a support network at your current location, but if not I would maybe think about trying somewhere else? You've mentioned wanting longer bookings with dinner and so on rather than straightforward bread-and-butter ones, but whilst the market for these certainly exists, it's vanishingly small and the punters who book them are - by and large - not scratching about on Adultwork.

I have things going on offline which will impact things positively and grow my market or enable me to lean in other directions going forward. That's not something I want to discuss presently. It's personal and I don't want to count my chickens before they have hatched.

I do want to move at some point but that is mostly for personal reasons. Work reasons may align or conflict. I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

My comments about what markets I want to operate in are speculative. This and having my own website is not an immediate priority. I may have to ditch some ideas or reapply them in more accessible ways or do new things with my marketing or find ways to develop the market. I can't do everything I want to yet but some things will be possible later. It's not a schedule I can hurry but something I can think through while I am twiddling my thumbs. (I'll add that most of my prior life experience involved an amount of R&D so some thinking is about what may be possible and how and doesn't always happen, or if it does happen it happens its own time or someone else can do it first or better.)

Well nobody is asking or expecting anybody to post identifying or personal information, especially when it's nothing to do with sex work, but if I'd had virtually no bookings since Christmas I would be seriously rethinking my MO (and on the verge of being evicted). If you have enough coming in from other sources then that's great - it just wasn't clear from your post.

I'm off until Monday now, having lost two of my bookings yesterday when an appliance blew all the fuses in my flat and it took me the best part of an hour to figure out what it was and get it back on. That was just what I needed right before a long weekend >:(

Tickle i used to only get dinner date type clients through my own outcall websites when i was highly ranked for the areas i wanted. Adultwork clients are not the type that usually want a proper escort dates with social time too, they mostly are only interested in lots of sex services and that is it so you will struggle if that is your main source.

Exactly, after taxes.

Let's take the lowest value of £400 a week, after putting the tax aside would it be like £320 or so??
Then expenses, let's say: £50 food, various bills (Council Tax, mobile phones work and personal, broadband, HEATING! >:(, software subscriptions etc) - shall we say £100 for bills?
Then work expenses - advertising, equipment and clothes (depending on your niche and if you've been working for a long time and stayed the same size throughout probably v little would need to go on clothes) - I don't know, maybe £30?
Hairdresser and beauty treatments that you need for work. (I was paying £100 a month for a hairdresser in London - cut and root colour, nothing fancy.) Let's say, £30 a week?
It totals to £210 so far. Which leaves you now with £110.
Then an Oyster card or other travel expenses.
This is when you have no dependents (kids, pets) or debts. Or need a weekly session with a therapist.
And then, let's imagine that after 10 months of moving out of the property, an energy company slaps you with a bill they pull from their behind. Because why not.  ::) >:(
Or whatever life decides to throw at you.

I don't think you need to have "horrendous" expenses to feel that with £400 a week you're on a tight budget.

Hooray. My first regular for quite a while. There's me all excited then he phoned again to turn up late. Then he wanted half an hour when he arrived. Then he overstayed because I didn't prod him enough on the time. He should have known better than to take the piss. The sex was good but he's going to have to knock that off.

There's a difference between necessary living costs and extra expenses that some people might like having but don't actually need. I can't remember the last time I bought new clothes for work bar the odd pair of stockings and whilst expensive hairdressing is all very nice it's hardly crucial; ditto gym memberships, beauty/entertainment subscriptions and so on (all of which I have, and I have two flats to pay for too).

Plenty of people don't have £400-800 spare after housing costs in a whole month working full time hours (and my total monthly take home pay at my last civvy job was only a little more, although it was admittedly back when dinosaurs roamed the earth ;D). Either way since we don't know the poster's situation and we're not here to single people out and pick their lifestyles to bits, back on topic now, I think.

Yay! I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about not booting him soon enough. Just count your money again :D

Yesterday Bulb was trending because they put their prices up to 50% for some people and other suppliers are following suit, it might have just as much impact as the 'rona.

I worked Friday evening/night and it was absolutely dead! Had two 30 min bookings and after factoring in initial expenses it was a huge disappointment.

Well I was on course for my best week ever but the last dickhead has just ruined that for me. After 20 minutes he still couldn't find my house, unable to follow any directions whatsoever so told him to forget it. Illiterate text is response blaming the taxi driver. I'm in a foul mood now.

This week was good good for me. Like I’m extremely satisfied. My idea of a slow week is when I don’t get much or any new clients my regulars are quite…regular. However I never tour and I’m thinking of touring to other cities. I know the beginning of the year it’s best to just lay low in your cities and gather the £ you can cause you can’t really predict the traffic in the city you’re trying to go to. Any advice?

Nothing but timewasters or undesirables at the moment most of whom are already blocked or have reports.

One call from Cuba I missed. I'm not sure I want to answer a call from Cuba.
