This week was so quiet, don’t understand what’s happening as it’s been more busier in lockdown lol had many cancellations, reasons were they got called back to work. Very annoying, thinking of touring, but it’s still too risky. Today is very hot too, I’m having some hope for the evening...

It’s the school hols all over the UK just now and the holidays are always a bit quieter, or at least they are sometimes.

I disagree. We're in July, kids out of school, holidays etc.. Things will get busier from now to September as people slowly return to work, kids to school, social distancing eases and travelling quarantines get lifted. We just need to be patient.

The exact opposite here, very busy July and now August really crap.

Yes July wasn't too bad for me either but this month dismal so far.

I think now the kids are off families are heading off on their 'staycations' and people generally are just looking to get away on a break after so long under restrictions.

Fingers crossed for next month when hopefully a bit of (new) normality will resume.

But their kids have been off school for a long time? Or have they actually gone to schools and now it’s holiday? This year isn’t the usual year.

Well many kids have been off for a long time yes apart from those of key workers but the others had online school work so now is what is classed as school hols proper.

Oddly last year Aug was my best month but that's probably because my main client demographic is 50's/60's so less likely to be affected by school hols.

I've noticed this month that enquiries from aw are down, but viva and Uka are up. Worth playing around with your advertising if you're experiencing a slow down.

Ever since coming back on the 4th of July I've done okay. But this week I've done 30 mins and that's it!

I've had other enquiries, but turned them down as they were undesirable. I've had so many timewasters that I could have probably had another booking on Wednesday, but couldn't be bothered by this time.

Does anyone else get like this? That you have so many timewasters you start to think everyone is a timewaster? And just lose the will to live and give up?

I won't quit this job, but I do have spells of idiots and timewasters where I don't want to work. I'd rather be off doing something else rather than waiting by my phone.

I don't think the weather has helped this week either. The heat always brings out the idiots!

August is always the worst month of the year for me so usually don't bother working. Bit different this year as been off half the year already but trying not to panic as it usually picks up come September.

February is always the quietest for me, but I think from memory August is usually okay.

I've definitely had a lot more timewasters and also one who I think is malicious making fake bookings.  It's exhausting.  Yesterday I got a phone call from about 200 miles away, they are having a frickin laugh!

I've done nothing so far and averaging about a booking a week, though bear in mind I often do longer than an hour and I do have a three hour booking later this week which I am pretty confident will go through but yeah, it is pretty sucky but I am hopeful that once the kids go back to school things will be better.
