Yes, I constantly get asked for days that it's very clear I am not around. When I first started, I would make myself available. Not now though; I don't go to a shop that closes at 6pm and ask them to let me in at 8pm!!

Bitten the bullet and paid to advertise somewhere other than AW, because this is the slowest I’ve been since starting.
When did AW stop showing up on google btw? I think maybe that’s why I’m not getting many emails :( (aka I’m HOPING that’s why! Otherwise it must just be me ) x

It's absolutely dead for me in central London and I'm starting to get really worried - I'm going to start working hotel bars (I put a new topic on this section). I can't lower my price but its getting a bit desperate xx

They did to a degree thanks but still had to borrow a bit  :'( xx hope things pick up for you x

I find if work is dead and I do a special rate it makes no difference at all! I've been checking my rates against others in my area and definitely in line with others girls similar to me. I'm stressing today as supposed to have a two hour booking this evening - only second booking this week and he still hasn't messaged to confirm.  It's a new client too - if it was a regular I'd know if it was ok to get in touch.

I lowered my rates once for a week years ago and I didn’t get anymore bookings from it that week. What I did get though was txts for weeks after saying ‘can’t you do it for £120?’ ‘Well you were last week’

It goes to show, they saw it but still didn’t come

I wouldn't lower my rates in quiet times, it sends the message of desperation to clients and then they think they have free reign to haggle and be a dick.

I used to do a special offer per month. I have stopped now and haven't lost any business. I still have the same amount of clients but all full price.

Things will move again soon, don't worry !
