I found that this February was a weird one, abnormally busy for some reason (?), but now I'm finding March a tad slower. A couple of civvie friends have gone on hols march because travelling packages are much cheaper so I wonder if there's a new pattern shift here? (of people taking stheir holidays in march because it's cheaper).

Maybe that's it. I've been quiet since end of Jan just hoping it would get better , this is my first year doing this job so I had no idea things could get so quiet :/

I'm used to a quiet couple of weeks but this is getting ridiculous! I've had to lower my rates and I'm still barely scraping by. What makes matters worse is all the time wasters!!!
I'm actually moving back to the York area as there's no work here (blackpool) at all. Been here 7 years and it's getting worse. The dry spells are getting longer and more frequent.

I work in Birmingham and usually do 2-3 days  a week. This week I decided to do 4 days and MY GOSH it's so quiet! Today I've not had a booking until 7pm. Half hour. And that's been it.  :FF Any Brum girls finding it quiet atm or just me?

Woudn't you agree it is that bit quieter since especially January. Which suggests to me that three months past end March this year things will calm down somewhat.

It is especially since January for me although still sporadic spates of income for a few days then quiet again.

Nope, quite the opposite for me I was fairly busy in Birmingham I Was here for 1 night and left next evening made 900

RG isn't talking about touring or temporary visits though, it's her base (I think anyway). Comparing the two doesn't really work.

Since March is consistently the worst month for me, I barely bother with it now so I've got some long-needed work being done on my flat. April is also generally shite, so if it drags on a bit it'll be no great loss :)
