Yes Helen, but that applies to ALL industries. There's a lot of explotation and trafficking (illegal workers being brought to the UK with false promises) in the agricultural industry, nails salons, construction, factories and domestic workers. They work in deplorarable conditions, get payed shyte money and treated like cattle. and they can't go to the police an complaint because they're illegal here and too scared. For some reason the media only talks about explotation in the sex industry because sex sells a lot and the agriculture industry doesn't.

I was wondering what you guys consider a slow day - absolutely zero contact (calls/texts/AW messages/bookings etc) or a day with interest and contact but nothing that you consider hopeful?

I'm still to wimpy (i'll get there!) to answer phone calls (and my profile states I don't, so any calls I assume aren't reading the rest of my profile, which isn't good) so I can get a few calls a morning but because I don't pick up, I consider that no interest, despite people trying to contact me...

Would you consider a day of wall to wall timewasters/no shows a slow day? I'm not sure how I'd see that.

If you actually want more bookings, I think you need to take phone calls. A lot of clients phone round fairly last-minute when they find themselves with an opportunity or the horn.

I only see 3-4 clients a week, so it's difficult to say, but I usually get a few messages in different forms each day, perhaps about a third from TWs. I get about one no show every six months, if that.

Booked a day off my civvie job to spend it doing incalls at a hotel today, had 2 bookings this morning and both were no shows! So fed up! Really needed the money too.

Might be wise to go a first come first serve basis for the day, explain to them when they call if your free when they arrive you will see them, its typical this shit happens when you book hotel

If I hadn't of used it I would have been on 0 I only paid ?15 Both including reposting but it's def been worth it if you have the the time & energy to weed out all the idiots

If I'm touring then a slow day would be 2 /3 bookings

If I'm at home then I don't mind 1 -3 bookings

0 bookings would be pulling my hair out time and wondering WTF is happening
  Yesterday in Leeds I had zero bookings from AW which is to be honest a first time ever for me
But I got several bookings from BAck page & Viva St

 I like the phone to be busy as it keeps me occupied but even when the phone is really quite ( mainly when at home as I don't do as much advertising or AT

 I can still get 1-2 bookings a day generally which is all I want when I'm working at home although I I can do more I will

If you want more work though I do think you would need to put your number up
I I didn't have my number up I would starve lol and if I only relied on AW I would be dead

Leeds has been awful this week, 90% of my calls went ignored because they were from pond life. Thankfully I had a long booking yesterday with a lovely reg so took today off.
