I was in Gatwick for two whole days with not a single booking.  Calls Thursday morning before check in time. Checked in then nothing but time wasters.  Lots of texters with dumb questions.  I started to feel exhausted from hours driving in the previous 24 hours and may have missed one traveller who could only do 1 am.

Friday was wanking heavy breathers, no shows, and men on my bareback blacklist.  And one from AW who asked me to tell him about myself. When I replied that everything relevant is on my profile where he found me, I got a petulant, I thought we could be friends.

Oh, and the Nigerian scammer that wrote in all caps and wants me to accompany him on a trip to Nigeria.  My response to him was unprintable and not in English.

Then this morning, day 3 I had 3 one hour bookings back to back between 10 am and 1 pm.  Which covered the cost of hotel and parking.  Then nothing, allowing me to drive into a nearby town, and ransack local charity shops for quirky bargains.  Then one half hour this evening which covered the cost of advertising - I really went to town with advertising, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

So I literally spent 3 days in Gatwick and just literally made back what I put in.  At least I made that because when I went to bed last night, i was resigned to not making anything at all. And also seriously thinking I need to jack this in.

What I find odd about Gatwick is that everyone that came just happens to live locally, with two driving down from Brighton to see me.    No travellers, as I had thought.

I'm going to pack some of my stuff into my car now.  It's embarrasing how much stuff I have (LOL) so I can leave her first thing, grab brekkie at Ikeas, and then feel unbeholden to this job.

Sorry to hear about your crap tour. I know it's no consolation but at least you made your money back and didn't come back having made a loss. But that's not really the idea is it? As business is so unpredictable I've given up touring now. OK I have a work flat to pay for but if I have a rubblish day or 2 it's not the end of the world as there will be good ones which even it out. I also added up rent plus bills which (in my area) works out to be cheaper than hotels and travelling costs.

Btw when in Gatwick I also found it was mainly local guys I saw and not travellers! I guess the same could be said for Heathrow, Stansted etc... I've only worked at both of those once but again it was local/passing guys who I saw and not those getting or coming off a flight.

I agree that Gatwick tends to be local guys, either they work at Gatwick or they live in Crawley/Horsham. Sorry you had a crap tour there. I am off for three days there tomorrow  :-\

Better for me today.  Did two quality bookings and as I like to aim for tops two a day as my expenses are low it was good to start the week reaching my goal.   :)

Brighton and surrounding areas has been dead for over a week now...no more than 3 bookings, none of them regulars either who contact me weekly. Never known it so quiet, even for this time of year leading up to xmas!

Where has everyone gone  ???

And why do all the Tw suddenly appear when this happens? It's almost as if they know you're desperate!

Are you sure it's not a competition that you're not aware of?   Moving parlors, which host gorgeous girls brought by EE gangs?

Brighton was dead for me over the weekend - including a load of drunk idiots on Saturday AND Sunday morning.

Gatwick has been very busy for me yesterday and today.

After a dire week last week things have gone crazy for me, loads of good regulars and semi regulars all booked in advance for this week and next, am turning bookings down.
If something is not perceived it doesn't exist.
