My day was shite. Phone utterly dead all morning. I went to run errands. I got a half hour at 1:30. Someone booked an hour for 4:30.   He cancelled a couple of hours later and I just mentally clocked out. The phone did start to ring by 5pm but I just didn't wanna.

My only genuine enquiry called at the end of the day to see whether I was free in 40 minutes. Didn't have time then  :FF

I shouldn't worry but it seems like work is getting more dry as time goes on, do any others experience this or similar?.

I think if you want to be busy for a long time, you'll need to change things up or else your business will eventually dwindle.

Although someone who gives a fantastic service and only wants a couple of bookings a day will probably do well over time building up regulars.

I get quickly bored with regulars but returnees I can cope with.

I do think however I will have to try to aim for some more quality regulars - there are 3 main ones and 2 are fine but the other one seems to have no comprehension of the need for a day off my end and the need to see to things beyond work.  Think I won't bother with him again as I am flippin' sick of him!

Gone from bad to worse today - my 1 hour was a no show (think he must have been a Vivastreet guy as that site attracts a lot of no shows), then my volume isn't working on my work mobile (this sometimes happens for 24 hours every 3 months) and now my 12 noon for half hour is acting the dick.

I do seem to be very unlucky this week . :(  Meanwhile two nice guys who are genuine and been before are trying to visit but need to check with their work as to whether they can get away or not.   Hey ho.

omg I feel for you that'd be the last straw! I'm subject to restrictions but saw one reg today. Then when I'd given up & was nattering on my personal phone to a mate, glass of wine in hand my work phone rang with a booking. Oops best leave the wine in the fridge then!

He says his friend gave me my number, someone is telling everyone he knows to go see me

I hope they remember me when I go back

I went for my monthly all over body rub last night (my main treat each month!!) and the therapist told me in October they also have low earnings.  She does not know what job I do as I run another site so she thinks it is that.  It was reassuring to know this however and the same time of year that we are flat (e.g. Feb and Easter) they are also flat in their business.

Perhaps it is just indicative of any sales/retail job - in the sense that we are also in a type of sales job if I am making sense!

We know it will pick up by Nov and Dec so we can take heart in that.  Hope this helps.
