Apart from the fact that as said 40 plus guys will still have children, alot of grandparents will also be looking after kids during the hols so that will take away some of the maturer clients. Also alot of people whether they have kids or not to think about will choose to go away for Easter and so will have abit less money knocking about.I too have had the odd fluke during the holidays the last 2 six week holidays I was as busy as usual for most of it but then died straight after but in the whole alot of us will be less busy when the kids are off school.

Clients in London remark that there are more seats on the trains in school holidays.

Well the opposite for me the last 3 weeks have been mega busy ..... really don't understand what School Hols should have to do with it there are plenty of guys 40+ passed the having school kids age ?

You can't call it - every day is different, its the average over the month/year that counts.

:FF :- a lot of people have kids when they are older, i jave clienta in late 40s with children in secondary schools, i know for sure that its school hals affecting my work atm as it always happens during these times. I cant talk for others- we all offer different services etc so for some this time of the year can be busy n for others not so much. But to jave so many people commenting ita dead - it surely means the holiday had aomething to do with it.
It really pisses me off when people come on this thread making comments how busy they were etc when everyone else is struggling for some reason. AND NO ! Im not being rude-jealous whatever u name it , its somwthing that i noticed few people r doing what looks like on purpose.

Picked up this week for me, was busy yesterday, calmer today, but I hit my target, which is less than i can say for the easter hols which was diabolical and a complete waste of effort.
I have been in Kingston, using the room advertised on AW (which i can recommend, nice flat ) will put a comment on the ongoing thread.

Also, another factor to consider is people without kids can't escape work the same coz they're too busy covering for their colleagues with kids who have taken time off.

and it's financial year end for a lot of companies

I thought it was picking up but have had quite a few cancellations which is annoying.
