Yah last week I worked 7 days straight with like 6 or 7 clients a day and one day I did a dbl....that burnt me out like crazy but other than that if I get 5 a day I really don't mind ...maybe it's just me ...or maybe it's the money haha yup probably the $$$$

Hmmm Pandora 8-12 a week as independent?  I work for an incall agency in Vancouver Canada and I get like 6-7 a day....I was planning on becoming independent in march but now kind of scared if you ladies only get 8-12 clients in a whole week :x

Although I only have limited experience of working for agencies (and was outcall only) Having someone else organise bookings  certainly cuts down the stress of sometimes constantly having to put up with idiots on the phone/ timewasters/no shows.

It also depends on the duration of bookings, if they were all short bookings then I suppose for a young fit woman with no other commitments then 6 or 7 isn't that much really. A lot of other 'normal' jobs require that level of physical activity too.

The beauty of being independent is that instead of seeing 6 clients a day you could see 3 and make the same money as you don't share it with anyone. Also: You get to choose them.  With an agency you need to fuck every Dick, Tom and Jerry and that is a nightmare that leads to burnout.
Mornings were made for sleeping, wild sex and bacon.

Independents don't 'get to keep' all the money though do they, there's advertising to pay for, often a 2nd set of flat rent/mortgage/bills, or hotel costs to pay, travel cost if outcall, time spent travelling,  time spent answering the phone to any random timewaster, And there's no guarantee that the 'nice guy' at the other end of the phone isn't going to be a complete twat in the booking.

You have a point. In my case I work from home and deduct tax expenses, I don't tour (but that's just me, I'm a taurus) and my advertising is no more than 200 a month. Everyone works different and what may work for you may not work for me. i do spend a lot of time marketing and branding myself (and yes, time is money). I don't mind the TW's because I can smell them from a mile and cut them off after 10 seconds. I keep my phone conversations very brief and business like, same with texts and e-mails. My bullshit-o'meter is very very finely tuned after all these years. My marketing/website is my first filter and attracts the type of people I want. Anybody who doesn't sound the way I want people to sound is not getting an appointment. End off. This works for me because I have really nice clients. I also make my own hours, meaning: one day I don't want to work I just switch the phones off.

I love working like this.

I started in the industry (like almost everyone) working for other people. I was miserable and burnt out most of the  times having to deal with guys I didn't want to deal. After one year of being self-employed I knew that I would never ever ever go back to working for someone.

Being your own boss beats all.

I'm very pro- indie because this is my experience (very positive). But again: what works for one woman may not work for another. We're all different creatures 8)

-Sorry for the off-topic- This deserves another thread "Indie versus parlour". I'll just create it and we can continue the discussion there.

Every girl and every town is different.

I would say that a very energetic and popular girl in a busy city like London could see that many clients a day. I can be that busy on a tour in London although I'm not that busy every day. There are slow days.

Some girls - quite a few in fact - are very happy with two or three a day, particularly if it's two or three hours a day, even if they need to do five half hour bookings to achieve that. That would be the ones who like to start at noon and be done by dinner time or just work 9-5 or whatever.

However, in my home city I would have to answer phones for at least twelve hours and see just about anybody who asked for a booking in order to do four or more a day, every day.

I'm very low key with low overheads so I happy at just 1-2 a day max and those are half hours. I just like to "tick along" and finish in the afternoon so no stress and no burnout.

Same here, my overheads are next to nothing and because I saw multiple clients daily when I was younger and saved and invested my money I can afford to see 2/3 clients a day 5 days a week now. My phone today has been all enquiries and 2 pre bookings for Friday which I prefer, gone are the days of me sitting around in my stockings waiting for punters.
If something is not perceived it doesn't exist.

It's slowed down for me now. The first 2 weeks of January were great but now I'm just getting TW emails and no calls!
We're women, it's what we do. I just get paid for it.

Since I've had my own place I'm rarely ever sitting around in my heels and stockings any more. When I get a phone call say when I'm in town browsing around then I'll answer the phone and arrange a time with him that I know I'll have enough time to get back and get ready. Unless I've been in the gym then all I have to do when I get back in throw on a tight mini dress, hold up stockings and stripper heels. For long bookings like 2+ hours then I'll doll myself up properly.

Escorting seems almost relaxing and effortless now. But then I do actually enjoy the job, mostly. Unlike a lot of girls doing this.

Hardly any calls/emails since joining adultwork. Got a booking for Thursday but I have to travel SO far for it and it's going to be such a rush. I don't feel able to turn it down because there's nothing else! Hate being a 0 feedback girl lol nobody will give me a chance!  :FF  ;D

If its any comfort Poppy this week and last has been dire for me, it's Just January general shitness!  Obviously I mind in terms of income but feeling exhausted/under the weather so don't mind from that point of view.
