I'm sorry... don't want to be a cry baby....but this is proving to be a very very slow December.... :FF :FF :FF

I went to my local Starbucks this morning (I go everyday and chat up with the  friendly girls working behind the counter) and they told me that they are very quiet and experiencing a very slow December too. And this is a Starbucks in the most turistic part of central London! WTF??

Actually that made me feel a bit better and not take it personal (lol), as in "It's not me, it's the economy!"

 ;D

I agree with all that you said but when you think about it , knowing is not just you does help with your confidence etc but when you actually know that you are in need fir money doesnt do much does it ? :))

I agree. Feeling better doesn't pay the bills unfortunately. Howeva'....

Today oodles of utter eejits contacting me but got a decent hour on the way.Got an hour booked in tomorrow morning so hopefully it will be plain sailing the rest of the week.

Just spoke to a good friend of mine who works in london but lives abroad

She visit every year at this time and is usually mega busy think around ?1000 a day

She said a regular client of hers said that in his office / business only 30 percent if the staff are working this week /last week because they had a very good summer they didn't take any holiday leave a lot of them took an extra week or so and are away over xmas /new year period

He said it's probably typical in the majority of the finance /banking  sector as they all apparently had a very good summer

How inconsiderate of them - they should get back to work immediately and get visiting ;)

I'm a low-volume prossie anyway, but in fact I've earned more so far in December than in the whole of November, so can't complain!

I've had nothing but time wasters the past two days and 2 no shows! Seriously considering advertising in more places as I only advertise on AW and one other place. Also considering lowering my rates but really don't want to! Thought it would be busier as I'm in Central London. I guess everyone's saving their money for Christmas.

Last week was really good though.

On the upside it's nothing personal to us individually, as this thread clearly shows, so I'm not panicking (just yet) based on my last two days of yawwwwnnnnn  ;D

Does anyone else just get the feeling this how it's going to be now? Maybe it's where I'm located but 2 of friends have been doing this 10+ years and said the past 18 months it's been the worst they've ever known. I've stopped having daily targets now and any expectations of what I class as a busy week. I'm slowly making steps to leave escorting as it's just not what it was before.

Not at all, I've never had daily targets I like to keep a steady pace, the flexibility to do a few days a week,  being able to take time off whenever you want/need to etc, You wouldn't be able to do that in a 9 to 5 or shift work.

+1 i dont aim to make a lot per day , anyhow i make a lot more than my friends who do 9-5 jobs and im flexible to go out whenever i want , i work from home which means i can have my coffee with a cigarette whenever i want, do home work etc. I like the job just coz of this little things and if i can make a decent amount per day to satisfy  my needs then im happy. I have everything i need back home so i dont need to save up for investments etc. I understand everyone is on a different path in this job but sometimes we have to be thinking realistically and just enjoy life while we can

I'm with you Kat, It's only been the past two days it's dried up, but enough to fill my target if I could be arsed - like Kay, I'm low level (3 max three or four days a week). Maybe it's guys saving up because of the recession to buy crimbo presents. I've not long popped to the Tesco express and it's dead in there. Three staff and only me and another guy in there so I guess it's the time of the year - fingers crossed.

I have 2 properties to pay for so right now if it stays the same for me I would be much better off going back to my old (well paid) career. I'm loathed to because of the mental toll it took on my health but now sex work is starting to do the same. Hopefully it will pick up to where's it's just steady again weekly and I can start to relax more

Very quiet here too.  Just a couple guys thinking it is some sort of dating site asking for a 'skype chat'.....

Just as well I have been ill with a sore throat.

Been in bed lying low for the most part.

I'm in a location where I have had two previous HIGHLY lucrative tours. I haven't been here in six months so it's not that they're sick of my face or anything. The phone has been ringing but it's all either guys who aren't in the same town (saved my number from weeks ago) or they're fucking weird creepy-breathing wankers. Asking for all sorts of daft shit like what sort of porn do I have to show them and what's my day rate because they want to do coke. Two normal-sounding guys called last night to book today - never heard from them again.
