How do they know when you leave the house..?!  ???
It really is uncanny.. I'd been really busy up until yesterday, it was pretty dead.. So today I didn't switch my phone on til about 1pm,
really dead again!!
I had to go out for a doc's appointment, and bingo! As soon as I put my jacket on to leave the house the phone starts ringing.
And not just the once either, I missed 5 calls in the time I was out, got back to them all, but they must've wanted to book asap.
Only had two (TW's) calls since I got back home..
Should've just had a day off..  ::)

Bingo, same here, you read my mind!

Every time I've gone out for 10 minutes I've missed about 5 phone calls! The phone only rings when I go out  >:( apart from that it's been dead here except this morning which was pretty busy. Busy as in two bookings

I had a good start to the month, then it completely dropped off. Back to school effect? Mid-month skintness?

School holidays and the expense of taking holidays, buying uniforms, paying credit card bills etc. So many people are skint right now. I dont expect it to improve until after septembers pay day which could be 2 weeks away for some.

I didn't want to post because nobody else was, but this is the first time I've ever been quiet in London.

A client today said that everyone is back at work, working like crazy, and getting caught up after summer holidays.

I noticed that, I was the only one posting lol  :)  Yesterday was just pants.
This morning was crazy, 3 bookings back to back, then I had an hour booking at 1.30pm, for which I'd knocked back other bookings etc., the b*****d didn't  show  :FF
Why do they do that?! It takes a minute to cancel..
I was not happy.. I'm also totally exhausted.. Maybe I'm getting too old for this lol  ;)
I wouldn't have minded so much if it had been a 15min quickie, or even a half hr, but an hr booking at that time of the day, grrrr  >:(

Wow something funny is happening 2 full days of no timewasters, no shows, dodgy texts etc... just a good amount of genuine bookings.

Just hope I haven't put the kiss of death on it by saying that lol

I did as well! 1 no show today, a few timewastery texts and only 1 booking, but I didn't expect it to be busy - from experience Sundays can be funny.

Hopefully things pick up again tomorrow...

One thing I noticed last week was that a LOT of people were still on holiday (perhaps taking advantage of the cheaper holiday rates once the school holidays are over)..

For example last week I tried to make appointments with:

My Optician (on holiday till this weds)

My Hosp Consultant: on holiday for 3 weeks? coming back this Friday

My Hosp Consultant?s Secretary: also on holiday (back this week)

Solicitor's Secretary - on holiday last week

I really didn?t get anywhere on my phone calls because it seemed everyone I rang last week was on holiday! ?.. so am figuring perhaps that maybe that is why it has been quiet/dead for some people on here....

A lot of people go away in September, myself included sometimes.
