I am totally demented today..!! Why can't some people just make a booking for a definite day, for a definite time?!
I've got quite a few clients who keep phoning in the off-chance I'm available right now, and if I'm not, they'll go in the huff, sulk,
and say "But you're always busy!"
Yeah no wonder if you keep phoning at the busiest times of the day, apart from that, it must be payday today, coz my phone's not
stopped all day, but because of these short-notice/ time-changing w*****s I've just ended up totally stressed and could've had a lot more bookings than I ended up with..  >:(

For the past two days my phone was quieter than usual but after a few tweaks it's back to business.  One of them was removing available  today on aw. It hinders me.

REMOVING available today on aw?? I've always thought that was a better way of obtaining bookings!

Saying that I've had an awful few weeks, in particular this last week. I was "on tour" in central London for 1.5 days and it was sooo quiet! Only had 3 bookings - 2 of those were guys I had seen before and only 1 new one.

I don't know what's going on, I have over 100 positive feedback, field reports, always have my number displayed and available today on. I also featured a field report for those days and put myself in the local search. I had the dates in the tours section well ahead of time and I really don't know what more I could've done!

It has been a few years since I've toured in London and it was never that quiet.

I know it was the week before pay day but didn't think it would be quite so dead! Didn't even have any views of my private gallery or movies which is very unusual when I'm in a different area!

Does anyone have any idea's as to why it didn't work out.....and in general why I'm so quiet at the moment?

I have no idea why it does that to me. It can help on a rare occasion for me.  99%  of the time the available today isn't used and do well.  It might work for a few days. For me it worked.

The competition in London is very high. As much is covered there.

The only time I use available today is in London, where you really do have to. I usually go for 4/5 days minimum as sometimes 1 or 2 of those days are just dead. Never a reason for it, it's just how it goes. But the other days make up for it  ;D

Ive been away for a week, wondering what its going to be like later today as its the bank  holiday. Was busy up till friday the week before then the weekend died, monday and tuesday were okay though. Usually the weekends are busier for me than the week days.

Regarding the available today setting, sometimes it works like literally flicking on a switch, phone starts ringing, other days it makes no difference at all, sometimes I forget and the phone still rings, other times I forget and its quiet...depends on the day really

I know it's the Bank holiday but I'm really starting to think something is up!

Was available all day Saturday and just had 1 half hr
Yesterday was available all day and didn't have a thing
Available today and just had 1 no show so far....

For me this is unheard of....I can't remember ever having such a bad time of it. That along with seeing just 3 guys (2 hr appts and 1 half) while I was in London for the best part of 2 days last week has really got me down in the dumps  :(

The only thing that has been consistent is the TWATS!

Has anyone else had a bad spell like this and if so please tell me it got better! Really worried I'm not going to have enough to cover my outgoings this week. Am supposed to be doing a couple of days at a hotel at the end of the week but at this rate I won't be able to afford even that!

Oh and also feeling I'm getting a sore throat and cold now  >:(

Saturday was crazy, took Sunday off, and today's just bloody TW's.. So far..
Hope it'll get better, I'm sick of clients thinking the whole world evolves around them and we're available whenever THEY can "fit
ME in"  >:(
Eehm sorry, but it doesn't work that way!

I did OK-ish yesterday. Today is quiet in terms of the phone ringing but I've had an hour so far and I have an outcall this evening. Not great but not utterly awful, considering it's a bank holiday.

I raised my outcall rates as previously they were matching the incall ones but I realised I tend to lose a fair bit in travel. It's a Bank Holiday so I'm not really counting these days as a proper indication of how things will be, but I haven't noticed much change, I'm still getting the same number of TWs. Most of my business comes from incalls these days anyway, but I am mildly worried about how I will fare whilst at uni and significantly less able to do those.

Well, to my utter surprise, today has been busy.

I hope the week continues in that vein.
