Everything was going fine and  ticking over very nicely for a good while until this week, suddenly no late night calls 2 word texts for me to wake up to for past two nights and daytimes I've had calls in the majority from obvious TW's or guys I'm not interesting in booking so I've decided I'm taking a few days to myself and getting on with other jobs I need to do around the house.
Last weekend when out shopping I noticed the shops and roads were very quiet that and the school holidays tells me most clients are either back off hols and are broke, about to go on hols and don't have the funds to spare or are actually on hols.
School holidays are an occupational rollercoster.
Roll on September.

Same here - getting some total numpties on the phone. Maybe the normals come out to play again once the New Moon is over.

If it wasn't for a big booking last night which was arranged 2 weeks ago I would of been f**c^ed this past week and not literally! a lot of weirdos and 4 worded emails from either time wasters who want me to meet them in their car or avid punters that  know August is typically slow for the WG so try to negotiate a lower hourly rate or extra time.

However don't fret too much. I've asked a few people from other industries what business is like  and they all tend to agree that August pretty much sucks balls. However according to them the forecast for September should  be raining money!!!........ so just two weeks to go now!

I'm bloody tired.. I think it's more exhausting when its quiet and I have too much time on my hands in between clients..
Been pretty quiet today, but not dead. Average really.
What a useless post lol  ;)

I have been quiet this month, haven't reached target most days.
Had a couple of 2hour bookings, nothing substantial. No Timewaster calls or messages then you know it really is quiet.
Bookings are all over the place and I don't have the patience to wait around for hours for one extra booking.
Taking majority of the month off  from Friday as my birthday next week  :)
August is normally a bit rubbish whatever location I'm in, will pick up after summer holidays though.

Mostly just an endless stream of hagglers, over here. I do wonder why they seem to always come out during slow months. oO

Quiet-ish, as per when I'm quiet it's entirely my own fault because I've written on my profile that I have extremely limited availability which is true. I have three (yep) tours planned in September before uni starts at the very last week because I had to cancel my massive London plans this month due to a friend's total incompetence in hosting my accommodation. Plus I've had a bunch of illness and stupid shit go on which has completely wrecked me money wise, I've sunk back down to my target bank account balance. Which will shoot up when the student loan gets here in under two months but still, a bitch has got to prepare her savings when she's going to Iceland this Christmas.

Yes that's right. Birthday present to myself. ;D Along with those luxury brushes I bought... and ?100 on MAC makeup...

Okay so there's not one reason why my bank balance has sunk. :( Retail therapy, am I right?

But from what you're all saying it seems slow anyway so whatever, missing August isn't the worst thing ever. Got a couple of outcalls planned but I'm not honestly too bothered about them. A few have cancelled on me too.

this is the worst week i've ever had. i have just had 4 weeks off and smugly assumed i'd be so busy that there'd be steam coming out... one yesterday for 15 min. one today who has still not shown and is now "late". phone rang 3 times all day :(

It's typical
Yesterday as I did the rd trip from hell (4.5 hours driving ) my phone did not stop ringing all the way up
I managed  to do 4 bookings when I arrived and phone was still very busy when I went to bed  before I fell asleep in my stockings
Today when I am a fully functional human being and ready to work phone is deader than a graveyard and have done 1 so far , hopefully it will improve but I'm think not
