It's just from experience (17 years commuting into Zone 1), whenever there's a tube strike the vast majority of people try to avoid coming into the office, unless they can walk or bike it. It can have a knock-on effect on overground train services if there are shared lines, the buses are heaving, etc. so most seasoned commuters just don't even try.

But on the other hand, ladies in commuter belt towns might benefit with those who are 'working from home'. 

Most of my clients drive and where im located its better of you drive actually lol i find it to be a bit wuiet today only one booking so far, but i noticed yesterday after 4.30 pm the phone was ringing constantly , i hope it happens the same today

Well if you read the rest of the thread (or a bit of it at least) you can see that most people have quiet spells and have since 2008 when the first posts are.

If you've been on your home base for a while and not finding you're building up a good base of regulars (which is definitely what keeps me going when I'm at home if it's otherwise a bit quiet), are there reasons that could be? Have you got limited working hours for example?

Touring is always a gamble anyway, but there's plenty of advice on advertising and so on in the separate section. Some places are better than others, but a lot of people seem to be finding it's not what it was, particularly in places like Ireland. I got tired of it after six/seven years of being away half the month and got myself a work flat instead, and I do think it's good to reassess the way you're doing things once or twice a year or so.

I built myself a new website recently and that definitely brought a few punters I hadn't seen in years back out of the woodwork, so maybe have a think about that?

My numbers have held up quite well, but I think that is mainly because I have a high proportion of regulars. Overall there is more competition, but also I think there are less men looking for escorts than there were. Why this is I'm not sure. The Internet is supposed to make things easier, but for that to work the punters have to be actively looking and know where to look.

Yes, that is right. Someone mentioned missing the days of tart cards, when men would be reminded of the very idea.
