For me mainly not, I make sure I have savings so if I do have a shit day I do not have to worry.
I would much rather be doing other things, plenty to be getting on with around the house plus having a child means that sitting around in an Incall placd bored to tears, being unproductive making no money is fairly pointless.
If I was absolutely desperately skint I would stick around I guess, but when it's quiet my motivation goes, and then I get into my head that I am going home! Once I'm home that's it, nothing will make me go back to work :)
And if I had of stuck around for the 30 minutes I would have just been sat in rush hour traffic travelling home-for the sake of a 30 min booking.
Not tempting to me at all.

I can see it both ways. There is something to be said for clinging on and sticking it out and very likely getting something in the evening. If you need the money it will work. However, if you have the money saved so that you can just go home and do other things that matter to you, that is good, too.

I'm with Louise on this one.  I'd rather be doing something more constructive with myself.

Even if we need the money it may not work even if we do hang on.

This is why many get into the habit of putting away a little from each booking for a rainy day that is quiet as well as monies for such things as tax, rent etc

I'm terrible for putting money aside.. I just can't do it  :(  So if i'm low on money I'll make sure I've got phone-top up vouchers
etc, so that at least I can keep working, even if I haven't got a penny to my name..
Having quite a busy day today, it's hot, and I always seem to be busier on hot days, the only thing I hate is the smell of sweat!!
It was bad last summer, luckily my bedroom is quite cool, but even if they've just had a shower they end up sweating after
5 minutes, and some guys odours can linger forever  >:(
I don't have to be perfect, but I'm perfect at being me!

I learned the hard way right at the beginning but now most of the time just remind myself of living needs only food water and warmth. But to buy business related things still. I find this helps me save. Then when a slow day comes it doesn't affect my bank balance. I find money worries happens still but touch wood my rent has always been paid on time.

Ebay and amazon are very tempting all the time.

I'm on tour in London. Been here 2 days. Yesterday I did an hour then a half hour, with a looooooooooong gap inbetween. Today my phone has only rung twice and both times was just a general inquiry with no booking. I really do feel like crying. I cant do something productive because I'm not at home  :FF

This week it has been utter agony.

I was all prepared for a day off Monday owing to the fact I was busy with my other business - however given the rest of the week despite Available Today sign up on Wednesday I have had nothing but timewasters or people who can't organise themselves to a time and day.

I have booked a photographer to come soon as that will help business as a new photo shoot is needed....

My summer diet was going well from last Saturday until yesterday when I undid the good, as I got doubt about finances.

No doubt the crap phase will finish any day now but it has done nothing for the finances this week!  :(

After an abysmal May where I had to dip into savings I decided to put an add in Viva street. After sifting through the TW, last weekend and the begining of this week have been very good and bookings for the rest of the week. Should be able to top up the emergency fund as well.  :D
I went on Viva for the first time in over a year a couple of days ago.Lots of idiots and a few no shows but 2 decent 30 mins in 2 days from it which is more than I have had from AW this week and if you compare it to paying for available today every day its cheaper.Have also tried backpage today so fingers crossed that might be alright too.Its been hard going this week overall though for some reason.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Viva street after reading some remarks about it, and yes there have been more than the usual dross phoning. But I have had four one hour bookings and a half hour, which I don't normaly do but was a late appointment so did it. So it well paid for itself. No emails from AW but the phone calls have been steady resulting in more bookings. All in all a very good move. Tomorrow only one booked in but I usually get a call from a reg so hopefully he won't let me down.
Be in your happy place

I had a two-hour booking but was hungry and tired after, so went out for lunch, shopping, eyebrow threading... came back to see I'd missed six calls!

I am not that bothered. Since I've started touring every other week I am pretty lazy at home, just working enough to pay for my flat. I should get rid of the flat!

Well guess what after deciding to take a further compulsory day off owing to no business and relax I got an email booking enquiry on AW but it was too late to see to it by the time I read it.

Typical !

I've done that. It was a millstone around my neck - feel much freer now, and love touring.

I've found it bizarrely quiet this week, and I can't really figure out why. The good weather? I had quite a good May despite the two bank holidays, so assumed June would be better, but apart from the first few days... tumbleweed.

As my period is just arriving, no doubt the phone will start ringing tomorrow.  ::)
