I've had my number up for several days now and it's nothing but time wasters? I was under the impression that I was missing out by taking bookings from email only (and then getting them to call) but turns out that method has actually been saving me from a lot of tripe. Always youngish guys with London accents (even though I'm in the south west) and asking for stuff I don't offer or expecting me to turn up at their house in 30 mins. Only reason I'm keeping my number up is in the vague hope I get some early bookings for my first incall weekend coming up, but the minute that's over I'll be taking it down again.

Hang in there - you're going to go through a few days of time wasters whenever your number is new to an area, as all the twats will call to try it on.

If you want a higher volume of bookings, displaying your phone number is the way to go. It does mean that you will have to answer the phone to time wasters, but if you get used to it, just block them, and it gets better.

Some clients don't have time to go through the process in a rush or what not. Time wasters or should I say free lancers the email method works best for them. But still they phone you get to jist with things in time.

Has anybody else found today, Monday, is rather quiet?

I would have thought I would have had an email to wake up to even - but no such luck - however one guy did text this morning to request half an hour - only to have to cancel it owing to his work commitments.

No i have just had a booking earlier,have got a few more this afternoon and a regular for the hour in the evening.

Always good to take a few days off as i get more business when I'm back and the green light is on x

I was defiantly not working over the weekend

(not coz of quietness, just having a bit of a burn-out I think), just switched my
phone on, and the bloody thing does what it always does, and won't let any messages or phonecalls through I've missed over
the weekend

So I've no idea if I've been busy or not..
Really time for a new phone.. !!

I've never bothered re missing calls. Especially if I couldn't work.

If I couldn't work then why bother answering as I worked "on the day" and if I was already working and they specifically wanted to see me then they would call back. If they didn't then it wasn't meant to be.

It's not as if every call turned into a booking anyway. Don't stress re what could have been.

I've had 5 agency bookings today! All really nice guys. Strange as my personal AW account has only had one enquiry. Not quite sure where I'm going wrong with it, but this is exactly why I top up my indie with agency bookings. Makes a huge difference to my income

I ended up doing a nice booking this evening and I have a couple of advance bookings later this week so it came round in the end.
