Oh for... 15 days. 15 whole days of no work at all at this point. >.< And to add to the pile of misery, my hands are all bitten up due to a new animal in the house. Not really related to the job but it sure as hell isn't helping my general mood.

Awwwwhhh babe..... :(

Ps What animal is it ? (just being nosey)

We adopted a grown pet rat that was getting bullied by the original owner's alpha male. As such, my past few days have been a combination of trying to socialize a nippy rodent and freaking out about the lack of work. >.>

Oh how awesome of you to rescue an animal in need!!  I hope it won't be too long before it settles in your home and stops biting mummy! :)
I had a pet skunk with my ex and when I left I couldn't take him with me because technically he was my ex's pet, but I was still his mummy, I miss him like crazy and I left a little bit of my heart behind...

I really hope work picks up for you soon babe! X

Holy fuck! Over 2 weeks that sounds like there's a problem with marketing or something as I'm certain you didn't suddenly become grotesque to punters in your area lol. You are from outside the UK right? Is something happening in your country at the moment that might explain the lull?

I've never heard of it being THAT quiet before :-\ Hoping it picks up for you Lynx :)

Mind you, I'm very low volume normally. 3-4~ folks a week is my "normal", seeing as I do outcalls only, in a tiny town. Most of my traffic are people calling me up while they are stuck in hotels over here (oil industry town). With that said, even my regulars have either dropped off the face of the planet since January, or cut down hours sharply - one of them went from 3-4 hours a month to one 30 min appointment every 4-5 weeks. >.>

The bottom is falling out of the oil industry, with the price of oil. I had a regular who would stop over in my city when he came home from some oil fields off the coast of Argentina. Last month he told me that he'd just been sacked.

Lots of downsizing going on.

Well that is concerning to hear. With that said, none of my regulars were even remotely connected to the oil industry itself, so I am honestly at a loss why any sort of traffic just... stopped. Goddamn it.

If your regulars aren't a big proportion of your bookings, they may just be doing the same thing as everyone else in the country, which is - apparently - just not punting for whatever reason.

Are you in the UK?

Norway. So I guess anecdotally we can assume that the industry slow-down is a general European problem, at this point. >.>

I tried viva street. Not good if you are in MK. ALL I got was hundreds of calls and texts from people wanting an hour for 50 quid. I had two clients from the days of call and text hell. One was a massage and hr for 50 for 45 mins, hey, it was only a massage right, but when he arrived he tried to pretend that he assumed sex. oral, cim was all included and pretended to walk. I waited till he was feeling confident just to tell him to leave as there was no way he was going to walk out on me and leave me feeling down, so I kicked him out instead. The second one was one of my semi regs anyway...I have never used viva street again.

I've been DEAD for the last couple of days.. Well, had a couple of half hour bookings, but my phone's hardly ringing at all.. (apart from in the middle of the night or at other ridiculous hours..)
Anyone else picked up yet or is everybody else still quiet too..?
On the plus side, I got to watch Celtic win the cup  ;D

Central London: dead for me. Freezing cold, Mother's Day, and St Patrick's Parade clogging up the centre. But private gallery sales suddenly increasing, so maybe light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping it's not the oncoming train....   :FF

Tried out vivastreet and deleted after 3 days. Not worth the hassle for me - just a few guys suggesting I halve my fees if I want to see them. Fat chance.

Still dead here, as well. Booked a short-term apartment and a plane ticket for my first foray outside of the home territory in late April, hopefully it will get busier by then.

I'm fairly steady now after a bit of a rush at the start of the month. I really needed it with all my snake's vets bills though, so very relieved. I hope it stays steady for a bit.

I've had a few bookings off AW this week but from my other work phone I noticed I had a lot of missed calls this week. I thought it was when I was in the loo or gone to the shop as I don't literally hog my phone but then today I had it by my side all morning and noticed a reg had called twice. On my phone I block calls between certain hours but I checked settings and the block Always box was ticked. Over the past 4 days I realised I hadn't actually answered any calls. I missed two regs calls a couple of days ago and I hope they don't think I've blocked them. Wouldn't normally say this but I hope the others were all TWs!

Sodding phone, so touch sensitive. I'd get one of the old press button ones but they can't hold that many contacts.
