I did an overnight this weekend but other than that it's been DEAD! I'm just starting out and charge a relatively high (but not too high) rate due to professional photos (which have worked like a charm, in the beginning) and it's just been terribly quiet the past few days.

I do have two bookings this week but I am certainly not getting as much as I'd like. Veeeeery frustrating.

Mango - Pro photos shouldn't dictate your price, the level of service you offer should. Some clients feel that pro photos are not an accurate representation of the girl, so it never hurts to have some normal photos in your gallery too

Of course; I'm not saying my photos are the only thing that justifies my rates. I do want to have a more "normal" photoshoot sometime, though. I think it's very anonymous/boring when the only pictures an escort has are lingerie ones.

After a really busy week last week, this week has been dead for me, to the point that I've just checked my ads to see if they are still online. I notice there is a new lady (slightly similar but Spanish) advertising both incalls and outcalls in the area (I am outcall only) but she is ?20 cheaper than me for outcalls.

I am wondering whether to lower my price to compete..........but looking at Vivastreet this week, Dundee is flooded with ads, there aren't normally that many.

Hmmm...........what to do?

Any advice welcome.

For all you know, those other girls also had a dead week.

If you think you're being affected by competition, it's natural to wonder if prices are the issue. But there are many other factors to take into consideration. It's primarily how you market yourself. What can you do to make yourself stand out from the crowd?

USP: I'm classy and English and older.

There are a lot of foreign, younger girls here, model-like. I don't think there's any direct competition between us. Although I assumed the new older MILF would be.

Yes, you are right of course, I shouldn't let that send me into a wobble. I turned down 2 bookings on Monday evening, had a 2 hour tuesday and to be honest, have had a light period so I shouldn't be too bothered.

I need to get some money in this week though, but I guess something always turns up. I spent this weeks earnings paying a deposit on a summer holiday rental and flights!

I had a booking from AW and when checking his fb I noticed he booked escorts around 30 age, slim with fake boobs, that sort so I was a bit concerned but thought maybe he wants a change! I'm size 14, v beg natural boobs, early 40s. But one thing I noticed was that all our pics were very clear and I have loads. Mine are accurate not pro but sexy and in lots of different outfits so for some that might be very important rather than just 3 or 4 pics although having only 3 or 4 pics on some others profiles won't matter to someone.

For 1st time this year I checked some profiles to see rates and someone very similar looking to me has joined who is in my postal area, same hair same 1st name, and she's charging 30 hour less. I don't need 10 or 12 bookings every week but I guess if someone wanted to choose between us they would pick her based on price but I'm happy lowering my prices by 10 but not more.

I'd say if you really need more bookings then lower prices a bit but not necessarily as low as that person if you're not happy with it but even 10 might help.

No, no, no don't EVER lower price no matter how quiet you think you are, it only makes punters think that the service we offer isn't worth ?100+ per hour. I never lower or negotiate on price or my minimum booking length of an hour. It's not your price it's just a quiet time and it will end just like all quiet times do. Don't let these men think they dictate price because they don't, we set the rates we're willing to offer ourselves for and they choose to pay it. If they are complaining then they can't afford you and if no one is complaining then the rate isn't high enough

On topic this last week has been especially dire but the weekend was amazing, hopefully this next week will follow suit.

I didn't work last week as I had family visiting. Didn't stop the phone ringing though! Yesterday was just timewasters and 2 bookings today done so it's all good
