Sorry to hear this Lushblossom - it's a massive cliche but there really is loads of it about at the moment and it seems to go on forever! I was hoping to be back today but yeah - no chance! Have settled for football and comfort food  :)

Still been busy enough, defo can't grumble for January!!
But it really does do my nut in when they book, cancel, book, reschedule.. :FF
But what do you do if you double-book and they do both show up Fabulassie?
I'd be mortified..!  ;)

I'm with cold as well and took today off. Was supposed to have outcall with regular but he canceled due to having cold himself, I was so happy to stay at home!
I wonder about double booking as well because so often I'm tempted to do so! What do you do if they both show up? ???

I think many things have to be taken into consideration if you are even contemplating double booking.

Biggest one for me is ~ do you have more than one parking area if both are there at same time, I wouldnt want either of my clients seeing each other, so two parking areas is really required.

I would never do it for bookings of longer than 30 mins, many guys are willing to wait for a short time if you tell them you are running late  ::) and will be with them as soon as possible and thank them for their patience.  I would also offer a small discount for their patience, after all if you are getting the two bookings in then you can afford a little 10GBP discount.

Sometimes you have to think on your feet so if you are no good at that then double booking is no use for you.

So long as you sound upbeat and bouncy guys are usually accommodating.  Its also handy if you have a garage or something similar where they can get a coffee and the discount will cover the cost of the hot drink.

I had the day off spent at the gym and have been cleaning re-energising ready for tomorrow. And my phone has been busy typical.

Well - I guess I can expect my phone to go crazy tomorrow then, because after being very lucky all winter I now have big swollen glands in my jaw/neck (I googled and I think the infection is in my saliva glands and so I had better go to the doctor.) I also have a pinkish swollen eye.  ::)

Sometimes I do double book, but I will give 15 mins gap, if the earlier one turns up I just txt the other one to apologize and make excuse saying eg. so sorry my client here just wouldn't leave would you like to reschedule? Or sorry still in town don't think will get back in time happy to reschedule.. I know it's cheeky lol but better take the chance than nothing.

I don't double book ever. I personally think it is unprofessional. They are paying a lot of money, the least we can do is be punctual. Yes there are slow periods and a lot of time wasters but it comes with the territory.

Sorry to hear that sweetcheeks! Yes it's really annoying, particularly as sods law states that everyone will contact you when you can't see them!!

Hope you're better soon. Mine is at the tail end now but still not pleasant - and even if I feel I'm no longer contagious, it doesn't remove the fact that I'm still shuffling around in my dressing gown with a horrible crusty nose!! (sorry)  :)
Aww thankyou :) Yeah this is it, they seem to linger for ages the back end of a cold. Glad you're at the tail end though :)

I will take two bookings if one sounds dubious - especially if someone has ever cancelled on me before. I will set it up in such a way that they have to text to confirm about an hour before the start of the booking. If I get a confirmation, I will make apologies to the one I wasn't sure about/who has cancelled on me before. So far, I have never done this to anyone who has already set off to see me.

Seriously can't believe that some senior members are giving advise on double booking you do realise guys from other forums read this? having a garage 2 parking spaces telling them your in town and won't be back in time do you want to reschule what if they have travelled 30 or 50 miles to see you agree with Mdsstudent comment that's soo unprofessional we all have quiet days we all have time wasters no shows guys book then cancel it's part and parcel of the job what would you do if they both turned up sitting in the 2 parking spaces or one is definitely comming what you text the other to say you can't make it now? what if he is travelling a distance and already set off don't know about anyone else but I'd feel embarrassed and ashamed.

I just started back after a week off and today has been Moron Monday. One no show, everyone else couldn't be bothered to read my ads so I told them to go and read then ring me back!

Can't get much slower than sitting at home in bed with conjunctivitis! I may be off for the whole week. I hope everyone manages to pull through the week and things pick up.  :-*
