There are a lot of perameters to consider in our job.
Our job appears well paid if clients show. Taking your figures Fabulassie for three days, 1000GBP sounds fantastic but how many hours each day was put in for that. Even counting it at 8 hours each day including time to get ready and travel (if you don't work from home and it could have been longer) then it was really just about 41 GBP an hour, yes that is a good rate for a civvy job, but we don't work a civvy job, but not as good as many people think and that is not deducting expenses incurred for the hours you worked.
If clients don't show it is by far a lot lower hourly rate.
Guys don't realise just how draining the job is, especially at this time of year. And how many girls heads were elsewhere while they were working, thinking, oh I could get "x" such and such and "y" such and such and wanting to be elsewhere too.
I don't think its good to work constantly, we all need down time and Fabulassie, you took yours and you deserve it too.
Yes whoring can be a better paying job at times but at what cost?
I have always found when I am getting stressed about something or I'm anxious about something my language starts to get more "colourful" and for me that was an indication to start to slow down or stop. Perhaps you do need a break Fabulassie, take time to enjoy the festive season with your family.
We can't foresee what we may have made if we "stayed longer" at our place of work, for those clients who called later or who intimated they would have called may have cancelled last minute or just been a no show, so unless we were there to find out we can never be sure. So best to just forget about that.
You made enough to keep yourself afloat I'm assuming and were happy with that. Never feel guilty about it as it is your business and you work the hours you are fit and able to work.
