Ive noticed in the past few months that girls (even girls who have been on AW for years and with thousands of feedback) are now turning to Offering other services like DirectChat and DirectIM. These are services they have no prior feedback for so probably haven't offered these services before. To me that is a sign that all services have slowed down and they are turning to other avenues to make their money.
 
Its just not like it was a few years ago and IMO things will only get slower and slower.  Yes, it is a quiet time of the year but with the saturation of new girls each day/week/month things are not going to get any better.

Im sure the longer serving WGs will confirm too that in the past 5 or so years that prices have not gone up (even in line with inflation) and in some cases have actually gone down.   Definitely not a good sign but some girls think it will help them get more work.

The way things are going, soon some will be charging minimum wage!

Yep, many a thing said in jest can be so true.  I remember the days when it could be 10 bookings a day, now some are lucky to get ten bookings a week or ten a month. 

Of course is much more difficult now than few years ago. I remeber time when I had many bookings and I was using only aw to advertise. Now I have around 20 websites and still not enaugh bookings. But also I have met girls more busy than I ever was before!y friend had few thousands a week ! So is still possible to make a good money.,..

So how is she doing it, do you think?

I have said this before as well but I have been working for 20 years and only seen a very slight increase from 50 to 70 for a 30 minute booking.

I have not noticed any slowing down in bookings and each month do roughly the same or more than I would expect to have done. I worked yesterday and finished at 3pm today a total of 15 clients through the door and a few that failed to turn up or cancelled. Today I was due to work till 5.30pm but at 3pm my 4.30 cancelled and I had nothing else booked so went home. i could have waited around but had had enough and felt i had earned 50% more than I expected to. In Birmingham on the 3rd/4th/5th Feb I had 31 clients, far more than I expected.

Promotion - Apart from advertising on Adultwork, I also promote the day I am available with a link to my web site to 7,000+ Twitter followers, my web site gets 12-15,000 visitors a month. On Adultwork I pay to be shown as "Available Today"  as well as listed in the "Local Escort Search". I update my profile every 20-30 minutes depending on how busy I am and occasionally do a fresh Tweet.

How much promotion do others do? Gone are the days that you can just list yourself on Adultwork with your phone number and the phone will ring & ring.

Since returning after a Christmas and New Year away, in the last five weeks I have worked 16 days and seen all my regulars, bar one and plenty of new clients. I had two really bad days at the end of Jan, on the 29/30th. That is what I would call really bad, only 200 after expenses and not a single booking on the 30th.

I am working Friday and then I am on holiday for three weeks in the sun.

It has slowed down big time but I am filling my time with camming and phones and still making my weekly target with a couple of bookings thrown in. I have taken down my AW profile also and have found I am  obviously getting less calls. However the calls I do get are more promising, and likely to result in a booking I have since found. So I am not having to wait around all day,  pulling over (if driving) to answer  pointless phone calls and multi tasking my shopping bags and trying to take a call in the rain.....

Not meaning to sound defeatist, however just looking at the numbers of service providers swelling and going up every day . I would have though most people will find their slice of the pie a little smaller or at least a little harder to come by.

This was a one off, I was in Birmingham and I am only there about every three months, so I had many people that had been watching for me to be there again and others that had been to see me the couple of times that I have been before. It was also right at the beginning of the month which can be more profitable as many people get paid at the end of each month. It was not planned this way, just the way it happened.

I do find working in an area only once a month for a couple of days creates more of a demand, but this is not easy for many people to do. I am also not available every day.

My prices are 70 for 30 minutes & 120 for an hour, I also offer a 15 min quickie for 50. I have considered putting up the 30 min to 80 & the 60 min to 130/140 but it can be a risky strategy. I do not drop my prices even if I am in an area that the prices are cheaper.

Advertising is important, a web site with a blog can tell the clients a lot more about you and make them feel part of your sex life, as with Twitter it is best to throw some general crap in as well as the important promotional "I'm available" posts. Link to your blog posts from Twitter but also have a link to your AW profile on your web site.

Can I remind everyone that this is a general thread and we're not here to dissect individuals and their ways of working whether they are present or not?

I don't link my site to AW or use their paid features unless I'm away somewhere (and even then I can count the number of times I've used the AT thing on one hand), nor do I use Twitter, write sexee-porno stuff on my site, blog or anywhere else or take same day bookings when I'm at home. I also have no trouble getting the amount of business I want from the type of punters I like, although this figure varies wildly depending on where I am and how much other stuff I have on at the time.

The point I'm trying to make is that everybody's different and what works for one person won't for another - asking if it's busy in Leeds, or if weekends are quiet when all the other variables (fees, services offered, advertising, photos, location) are all different is just the road to madness.

I am definitely going to continue touring.
It has picked up a lot this month.
I have noticed having limited availability in Reading, is getting me more pre-booked appointments.
I have had a look on AW, and there are 6 pages of girls in my area, which is a lot, Reading isn't a huge town or anything.
I guess what is busy to some girls is dead to some and vice versa.
