The slowness of clients make me reluctant to do out calls being messed about. Touring seems to be the answer for quietness.

I fully agree with that, how many regulars can you have in one area? I constantly tour, I am rarely in the same area more than four days in one month. I am constantly busy, I spend time when I am not working promoting my profile / Twitter acc & web site to let guys know when and where they can meet me, I promote a "persona", that guys want to believe in, by doing so you create a demand and by being unavailable you are also creating a demand.

With that said, it is not always easy for some to work that way, family commitments etc...

Touring is good but don't like the living out of a suit case thing. I came to realise this after doing a two week stint. So one week out of a month suits me better as stability is very important to me.

I don't like living out of a suitcase either, but I have a fair number of regulars from a wide area, who travel for over an hour in some cases, and they are most of my bookings. It's been quiet but it always is for a few weeks after new years. I find that being unavailable causes the numbers to drop off more than create demand. YMMV

That is the down side of working from hotels, I can only do a 2 night stay, but most of my trips are overnights and then back home which means that you spend as much time travelling

I thought tonight the horrendous weather is likely to contribute to the quiet.

I have not been working as my Father died this week but February is normally quieter as this is the month all the xmas credit card bills need to be paid.  It normally picks up again by the end of next week so don't worry too much

So sorry to hear this Dani. xxxxxx

On a separate note. Yes it was quiet. I put a discount out and now its not quiet. Would rather have 200 for a couple of hours than 0 for none x

How busy is central London at the minute? I'm trying to decide between working or just staying at home and only doing the odd Out Call for the last two weeks of February as I hear it's so quiet this time of year until Spring.

Half term/school holidays - always down on bookings but you just have to keep on marketing and doing PR, and I find that on aw, posting up pics constantly seems to attract and/or generate new interest.

Also, the recent awful weather definitely had an effect on all, not to mention those tube strikes in London last week.

As the weather improves and next week comes, am sure things will pick up again!

Good luck girls.
