It is really slow here in Cornwall at the moment. Doesn't help we are cut off from the rest of the country! Many of my clients travel down here for leisure or business but nobody can get here by rail and they are too worried about getting stuck here to drive/fly down. The flights get cancelled and the bridge keeps getting shut because of the wind!
Yes that must be really hard, it can go slow, even in the busier times, due to bad weather but girls trying to work in flood areas are really put to the test.

The tube strike didn't help here in London either, i have lost SOOO much money, I had regulars booking long appointments and then cancel because of the strike  :-[  I just wanted to sit down and cry like a little girl, I had a really shitty week last week!

Remember spring is (hopefully) round the corner ladies and gents. Hang on in there and we will soon be making hay whilst the sun shines!  :D (Fingers crossed... )

Its slow in Milton Keynes too, ups and downs but not quite what it should be. I think though that we should all just be grateful we are not in Somerset nor work there. Now those girls must be having a truly shitty year so far x

Reading is pretty quiet.
I have noticed loads of new profiles over the past few weeks.
Also a fair few well known girls touring in my area.
I am touring also.
I had a complete wash out day last Thursday, I had 4 hours booked in, (new area) and every single one turned out to be a waster.
Normally I am really good at weeding out the timewasters, but not on that day.
It meant I lost out on genuine clients that day, it really p****d me off.
Friday was good though, it made up for Thursday.
I barely got any calls for my own area last week, so I am definitely going to continue touring for the time being.

When I tour always ask clients to phone back a few minutes after others have booked just incase. My last tour had none no shows. Where as back home am more relaxed about having no shows kinda. Touring is to earn as much.

Say it's 11.30 and someone books for 1 pm.  I would reserve the time for that person. No shows tend to sound genuine on the phone but don't cancel the appointment.
I guess the only way your suggestion would work for me is if I was taking really short notice appointments.
I really felt like double booking myself that day but I know it's bad practise so I didn't.
Thankfully these sorts of days are very few.

I so this pretty often too. Trouble is, they go off and make a plan b in case you dont call back and if they are nearer to her by the time you let them know you are now available they sometimes ignore you too lol. Its just a shit situation all round sometimes x

first week working after a long time, and yup today was a huge fail.
I had two bookings cancelled, well they just didn't show up, and nothing else but time wasters for the rest of the day.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

The slowness of clients make me reluctant to do out calls being messed about. Touring seems to be the answer for quietness.

I fully agree with that, how many regulars can you have in one area? I constantly tour, I am rarely in the same area more than four days in one month. I am constantly busy, I spend time when I am not working promoting my profile / Twitter acc & web site to let guys know when and where they can meet me, I promote a "persona", that guys want to believe in, by doing so you create a demand and by being unavailable you are also creating a demand.

With that said, it is not always easy for some to work that way, family commitments etc...

Touring is good but don't like the living out of a suit case thing. I came to realise this after doing a two week stint. So one week out of a month suits me better as stability is very important to me.
