Hope the mid month blues have gone.  Last weekend was a shocker.  Positive thoughts have done a couple of half hours today and got an out call booked for Wednesday of the back of one of them.  Super hoe yay obviously brought my milk shake to the yard this morning.

Was having this discussion with a publication, I don't find my business really reflects the monthly pay day cycle. Perhaps the clients I see tend to be more careful with their money, plan their visits, or have to go with windows of opportunity. I think it's a mixture, and so I no longer plan around this phenomena. Still find February half-term dead so might try and use that in some way in 2014.

Really ..... I always find the lead up to pay day a bit slower than normal - agree on the February dip though so I always use this time for a winter holiday and hop over somewhere hot for February to refresh  :D

What's weird is that things have slowed down the same way described by you guys, and I'm out in California. I thought it might be something in the water, but this slump in business sounds like it's universal!

I always fear a hidden bad review or something :(

What part of California? That's where I'm thinking of heading!

It's been really weird lately this month. I was very busy couple weeks ago during all the rains and floods in Colorado...lots of last minute calls from visiting clients...and then 1 client I met before had me over and decided he wanted to have me for an overnight which I KNEW I would regret saying no to, but had to. And haven't had an appt. since

And now, it seems things are slow because while I'm out traveling, people aren't booking correctly. This whole trip, clients have been texting and emailing me, but then once I got into town, everybody is saying they are leaving town  :FF  It's like, why didn't you tell me that in you response instead of waiting to the last fucking hour before you leave. Irritates me.

Now, I been having to re-formulate a way to get people to tell me their entire week's schedule so I'm not rushing down someplace only to have the end up going out of town. It's a bunch of bullshit

I agree and I've always found December to be a good month. I don't really work much in January unless I'm away somewhere - I did two weeks in Ireland at the start of this year and it was good, but I stayed at home the year before and just did the bare minimum seeing regulars and whatnot and I'll probably do the same for the next one.

I've got two holidays booked in February and the only work I'll be doing is my regular London tour at the start - that half term holiday truly is the pits >:(.

As well as being quiet have you noticed all the Trolls and Timewasters seem to be out in force?

It might be me of course ( ::) )

I seem to be getting loads of the 'are you free tonight' emails and then nothing more.....

Must agree with a former posting mentioning hidden feedback - or are we both paranoid? LOL
