I thought it was just me!! Ive looked and looked at my profile seeing what they heck i was doing wrong! Even thinking of dropping rates or doing a bogoff offer lol!!

You are better to do a deal than to drop prices as clients will wonder why you are dropping prices and if you then put up again will be asking why again. Remember its guys we are dealing with, they are easily confused.
Many girls, myself included, do a special price before 4pm or 5 pm and then it goes back up to normal price. Its up to you though.

But if your hotel is cancellable up to say 12 (or if you're lucky, 4pm) on the day, just make sure everybody confirms before a certain time on the morning and then you'll have a good idea - I can't remember the last time I had somebody who confirmed on the day not turn up. I give 'em between 8 and 9am to ring normally depending on where I am, and it works fine

I don't ever take advance bookings when i tour because its generally those that mess you about , fuck up your day and piss you off
unless the booking fits in with my time i.e. i arrive at 2pm and they want to see me at 3.30pm otherwise its same day appointments all the way for me

I might make an exception for a very good reg but depends on various things

And yes its dead, i find that one day dead next day busy this week has been ok for the amount that i have worked but i messed up because it was quite on monday so was being lazy on tues wed which had i had my knicker in place i would have been very busy as missed a lot bookings and same for today so kicking myself but such is life

It has slowed a bit this week. Only 2 or 3 bookings per day this week. Guess the summer slump is kicking in...yay x

I have a permenant early bird offer between 10am and 11.30am, its pretty popular, I have noticed one off discounts for a few days dont really bring any more in, it just means Im earning less from the guys who were probably going to make a booking anyway so Im not bothering anymore.

I am really worried as I have had no work in well over a week, and only saw one client before that.

I am not sure if I am just overly worried right now as I only have a few weeks to go in uni before I qualify. But I am having to pay hefty bills and don't have a job in Edinburgh at present.

What with the sauna closures etc, I am worried work is drying up completely in Edinburgh. Thanks to the shitty Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year, I fear the stupid authorities are trying to "tidy" up.

I did manage to get one booking in the agency flat tomorrow, with, low and behold, the Pretty Woman client. However, I'm going to take it; it's for a few hours, so big bucks to be made. I was told tonight that the girl who has been letting her flat out to us in Edinburgh has stopped doing incalls. So that's even less work for me.

A few guys (not clients) have asked me out, but I've put it off. No one would ever understand what I do. I had an ex friend text me the other day out of the blue (a guy who was trying to get freebies by asking if I wanted pics done by him- randomly!) and when I said no, I got all the "nothing but a common diseased prostitute" crap. I don't think I could ever give up this work

Sorry you're having a hard time right now. Things are slow all over right now and I know that isn't much comfort but hopefully it'll pick up in a couple of weeks. I normally try and stick a couple of new ads and blogposts up if things aren't as busy as I'd like, I don't know if you've tried that already?

I also just wanted to mention that there are people out there who will be okay with your work: I have a very supportive partner who knows everything and many of my sex worker pals also have accepting partners and lovers. It's not easy, because stigma is a bitch and gets into everyone's head. It has to be worked on, for sure. Maybe seek out some sex worker community and allies in scotland if you can and you haven't already, it's great to meet others in the same boat.

I'm really angry this thread has been moved. It wasn't just about work drying up, it was about a few other things as well, and to put it in another thread really boils my piss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive read and reread your thread and apart from saying how slow business has been I cant see anything else that cant be discussed here. This is probably how the mods read it too and why they have added it to this thread.

If you have another question you need answered (which I may have missed) then I would just put it in another thread, its that simple, no need to go heading banging yourself.

I think most people get a bit fed up if/when work doesn't come in and we just got to deal with it and get on with life until things change. For independents we have to look at our advertising and see if we can better it/change it, but for agency workers there aint a lot can be done apart from calling them to see if anything else is coming in or sitting pretty in hope business turns.

The boyfriend thing has been discussed so many times now ...................................... guys will always be guys and many a time a twat as well, we either learn to deal with them or avoid them.
